Lara turned the fight down with me after his promoters contacted Leonard Ellerbe and asked us would we take the fight. I said yes and Golden Boy called us back and I guess they said no. I'm gonna do what I can do to make that fight at 154.

You are aware Lara is NOT an aggressor, right? He's a counter puncher and so is Floyd, in a sense. This would be a boring ass fight.

Id rather see Floyd vs Cotto 2, instead of Lara run around the ring and getting thoroughly outclassed.

You would rather see Mayweather in against a guy he already comprehensively beat than in against an ultra talented fighter that has a style that we've never seen floyd in against before!? Seems legit alright!

Im a Mayweather fan, and personally Lara is the fight that I'd most like to see Mayweather in, we've seen him in against every type of fighter except a world class counter puncher! I don't find Lara boring at all, he reminds m of a young Joel Casamayor! He made Trout look like a chump and was in a great fight with Angulo, busting him up in the process! And was robbed against Matiroyson, Williams and Molina!

I think that of anyone from 140-154 Lara is the most dangerous guy that Mayweather could face. Speed and agility wise he matches up to Floyd, he's got a great ring IQ, boxes well off the back foot as well as front, got a good pop to his punches, and most importantly he's calm under pressure and accurate! The fight would be a chess match but it could turn out to be the most nerve wrecking fight of Mayweather career

Don't care about Showtime or Floyd losing money taking this fight. Don't even care it will be boring. Just know a real threat to Floyd when I see one. Floyd has no offensive power to trouble Lara. And I believe Lara is just as fast or even quicker than Floyd. It's all the wrong things for Floyd and which is why he will duck this one.

Fair enough about the Angulo comment, but come on, PWill Molina and Vanes!? Had Lara been an American fighter he would have got the UD versus all those guys!

And give El Perro his dues he was relentless for a long time in the fight with Lara, the guy hits like a mule and that was a small ring...
