Same reason Canelo isn't. Too much risk not enough reward only reason to do low reward is for low risk it is just how it is in boxing.

Floyd only goes above welter for huge ppv events with cotto, oscar, canelo

Sorry lara, a fight with you is not an event type ppv

Floyd knows Lara is basically an unbeaten fighter who has looked very good in every fight he has been in and is also a well schooled amateur...
Realistically Mayweather will be like hell no am I fighting that, Lara isn't in the slightest bit damaged goods and his style would make for a hard night.

Why, oh, WHY is Lara so overrated. It's one of those situations I do not get at all. How could one not see that Floyd would totally outclass and outbox this boring runner called Lara? And it isn't like Floyd is much of a fighter himself so this would be one of the most pointless and boring match ups that could be made.

Lara is a good fighter but he is nowhere near being a master at his craft. Angulo knocked this clown out 2 or 3 times (can't remember) for God's sake!!! And I love Angulo but come on, El Perro is as one dimensional as they come! (And I like them like that, come forward brawlers but I'm talking from a analytical unbiased point of view). If it wasn't for that eye which was a freak accident we wouldn't even be talking about Lara today.
Angulo knocked him out? You're obviously as new as they get to boxing.

Of course it was, come on now. Eyes don't blow up like that frequently.

What Lara and Mayweather do is running or let's put it in nicer terms, retreating from action. Retreating from toe-to-toe combat, cowardly styles. A good boxer can press the action and go forward while implementing his refined skills and reflexes. Neither of those two are capable of doing that. When the going gets tough, both get going.
No, it wasn't. When you eat that many punches, your face is gonna get smashed up. That's not an accident sir.

And don't be ridiculous please, Floyd and Lara are superb boxers. Floyd can fight on the inside, just because he doesn't get hit it doesn't mean his style is cowardly. Lara needs to work on his inside game. There are different styles in boxing. You obviously aren't a fan of technical boxers.

your post wreaks of hatred. Maybe its because Floyd keeps beating all these Mexicans? The fact is 154 is Floyd's 5th division and doesnt even come close to making the weight. I just dont understand how people dont understand this and let there hate get in the way. He's fought at 154 only 3 times and all were against big money stars. Canelo is in his 1st division just like Lara. They should fight.

Its always the same with Floyd. If he went to MW right now and beat Sergio, instead of saying its a good win, people would say that if he's teh MW champ then he should fight triple G, no excuses. Its ******

I always tune in to see the nonsense you come up with. Is 154 really Canelo's 1st weight class?

And is Floyd or not a 3 time jr middleweight champ??

And what does a 3 time champ fighting at 154 have to do with 160??

Enough of this 'Floyd isn't a real 154 pounder' BS. If he's not a real LMW, he should stick to fighting at 147. Why should he get away with not fighting the best at 154? He's a champion in that weight class and therefore should fight the best possible opposition.

he is also a WW champion. Floyd is teh best in the game and you guys are acting like he's some up & comer who has to clean out a division. He dont have to do that. He's paid his dues. Also, all 3 of Oscar, Cotto, and Canelo were rated very high when Flooyd fought them. Canelo was the highest rated after the Trout fight

                      He's not.

How many real Jr MW's have never weighed in more than 151 lbs and come to the ring at 150 lbs?

He only fights above his weight (147) for big money fights. We know this.
