Not sure why he wants a paper championship? He fought Floyd for the true welter title, lost and now he thinks he can beat Shawn Porter and be considered a 5 weight champ? Boxing needs one champ per division so this sort of sh5t can't even be considered.

Juan should stay away from both because he gets hit to much. Maidana will send him into retirement and Porter is to fast. Juan is going to take some beating chasing that 5th title.

Marquez doesn't care if it is a paper title. He just wants to say he won titles in five divisions. Being a five division lineal champion would be an incredible accomplishment.

I personally think Juan has a good chance of beating any of the current ww titlists not named Floyd, including a rematch with Bradley. Why would he win a rematch over Bradley? I think he used his last superstar performance when he Kod PAC. Maidana has a whole lot of momentum right now it would be hard to deny a guy with so much strength and pride especially when you are hit a lot in fights like JMM is. It would be a crazy war but I think overall it would end up being a question of who has more in the tank. Maidana would have a decent shot. Brutal brutal fight.

Porter is so big and compact at the same time he can literally maul Marquez inside. If Marquez lands a good ref to keep things separated so he can land combos, then he'd have a better time of it but I would also doubt Marq has enough left in the tank to tame a young hungry big lion like porter.

Maidana struggled against veteran Erik Morales, I see no reason Marquez and Maidana wouldn't be a great fight. Maidana has that come forward style that plays right into Marquez.

Could be a good fight, as long as it can be made.

Porter on the other hand would be a bad stylistic match up for him. He needs guys that come forward i.e. Maidana, Ruslan. Guys who can move and use their feet would give the 40 year old problems.
