Yeah, sadly that Pacquiao KO was JMM's last hurrah IMO. I don't see him beating either of those names listed. He just doesn't look like the same JMM to me.

I think he would beat Madidana, actually, I think he would embarrass Maidana. Porter would be a tougher call but I think he beats Porter as well.

Definitely be such a great fight but I can just picture JMM countering Maidana all night long and possibly stopping him. The one thing you can't do against JMM is come at him throwing tons of punches, that's a big no-no.

Good luck to Marquez making that happen. Porter has a mandatory to Kell Brook and Maidana has to rematch Broner. Then the winner of that fight has to fight Thurman. And he'd be very lucky for Zanfer to work with Golden Boy. Only instance coming up I can think of where a Zanfer fighter is schedule to fight a Golden Boy fighter is Mijares against Santa Cruz, and that's only because it is a mandatory. So unless Marquez because either the IBF or WBA mandatory, he isn't getting the shot he wants. Though stylistically, neither guy is the challenge that Bradley is. Porter or Maidana swarm Marquez the way they did their last two opponents, Marquez destroys. Swarming a master counterpuncher with big power is a terrible idea, especially if you are as vulnerable to the body as Maidana is.

Unless there has been recent changes, Marquez isn't actually signed to Arum. He is signed to Beltran who runs Zanfer promotions. Zanfer works closely with Top Rank. Beltran hates Golden Boy thought so it might as well be Arum.

Maidana has a mandatory rematch with Broner so that is not going to happen. Would love to see the Porter fight, but that would require Zanfer to work with Golden Boy.

What people don't realize is its not an immediate rematch. He is fully within his rights making Broner wait.

Nah. If Maidana can land... He has just a good a shot as most anyone. And Maidana would land. Porter is strong and stout he might be too physically taxing for Marq... Hard to say.
