Canelo coming off a loss to the #1 P4P fighter, needs to fight Erislandy Lara, and Angulo is a cherrypick.
what was so good about rhodes to begin with???? what did he accomplish that had him at #4 to begin with??? he was euro level mediocrity

and pac was KTFO in his last fight, 34 yrs old, and coming off the longest layoff in his career...c'mon...he can't have a tune up from that? and pacquiao already paid his dues......he can keep fighting the brandon rios' of the world and still end up first ballot HOF'er and considered an ATG....

anyone who calls Canelo a bum doesn't even follow boxing. The "kid" is far from a bum and he will beat the dirt out of Angulo. People didn't really like him because of the hyp GBP was putting up for him and he was unproven but he has beaten some pretty good boxers and just out of his depth in his last fight. Many people jumped on the Canelo bandwagon before the Floyd fight because they (me included) wanted Floyd to lose but he didn't. I don't think any less of him but the bandwagon got really light after that loss. It'll pick up some more passengers once he decimates Angulo though.

alvarez gained hatred because he was a young fighter with money making potential who was being moved accordingly.

Don't even get me started with the Lopez fight.

Oh, he was also getting criticized for getting buzzed by Jose Cotto, when he was like 19 years old.

Entering the Trout fight, the Canelo hate was already full blown. It was definitely not after.
I wasn't thrilled with his 2011 opponents, but he was still young enough to where Gomez/Cintron were excusable. It was only til he didn't fuck Mosley up and then fought Josesito that I started complaining. He earned some of the hype bestowed on him after he beat Trout, which is why I called that the foundation as everyone could respect that match-up. His fight against Angulo will seek to continue building upon that foundation. If he beats Angulo, then he'll hopefully fight Molina or Lara after.

I'm a Canelo fan. Love watching him fight. Looking forward to his next fight.

I don't know about hype, don't think I've ever posted about him or hardly ever, but his resume is one of the best out there. Losing to Floyd is no shame.

If you think the Canelo hype is gone you're not looking hard enough it is merely in a hibernating state recovering from the reality check it was given, but mark my words it will be back.

The judge who scored it a draw was right on the money.
I agree with you on most of this, I thought Mayweather won the fight, but it was by no means some domination like his fans claim. Canelo went in to the fight with the wrong game plan, and maybe a little drained. He should have jabbed his way in and used his size to bully Floyd. Floyd was more mobile in this fight than we've seen in a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Canelo fight Angulo, Ortiz and Cotto and then get a Floyd rematch May 2015.

he was green and drained when he fought floyd. hence the floyd cherry pick.
i got no hatred for alvarez just stating facts.
