oh so its in jest. how would any of us know why you picked that name?

why does it bother you that other posters talk about money/finances? if you don't like the discussion don't participate.

i am working as a trainer, manager, and corner person -
it's not about money as i don't give a **** ass about ever
collecting a dime. Sometimes a fighter has other reasons
for wanting to be in the ring other than simply monetary.
My focus is Never about how much some fighter or promoter
etc. is making for a fight. I watch fights no matter what the
monetary or political drama is - that has nothing to do with
a boxers worth when it comes to how well they box. Can't
understand why people are so caught up on the money aspect.
Unless they are captivated by how some boxers seem to live
the high life for a time but usually that doesn't last as their
egos out run the money; and the high life falls away. I want
to see my boxer stay grounded and in reality. So yes i would
continue to watch boxing as the money aspect is not the end
all or be all in the sport.

Finances is not going to be as big a factor when discussing certain fights/fighters as it will be with others. If posters choose to discuss it-so what? Again, why does it bother you.

You are complaing about posters talking/discussing finances in this thread and you have asked several financial related questions.

You seem to have another agenda and are back dooring your way to it?

          you're missing the point.

when you're talking about big time TV fights, you need to be able to understand how money effects boxing to know how it works.

there's more to being a fan to some people than simply enjoying fights. it's fine if you don't care about money, but i do. i want to know more about boxing. to do that, i concern myself with its finances. boxing is financially motivated.

TS is what you call a "pact#rd" by the look of things.

they're usually young, little, etc. if he hasn't cut down on his posting since manny's decline, it is on the horizon. when manny retires, there will be an exodus of his kind.

when floyd slows and loses, or retires, there will be an exodus of his kind as well.

the world, not only boxingscene, will be a better place when those types stop using the internet.

              SO true.

why doesn't he just come out and post what he really wants to and then we can discuss.

So are Floyd and Manny, at a much higher magnitude.

I would disagree. Floyd and Manny earned their positions based on in ring performance. Canelo got heir based on his popularity.

Manny and floyd had to go through much more before they got ppv fights. Canelo went through significantly less.

Floyd and Manny were each recognized as upper echelon fighters before they hit it big. Canelo's stature was manufactured by his promoter owning ring magazine.

If you look back in time, fighter salaries and their finances were insignificant to any fan. Somewhere along the line, it somehow became important to know how much they make and what they choose to do with their earnings. Seems weird, but perhaps boxing isn't mainstream anymore because instead of worrying about the in ring action, you're more concerned about the bank accounts.
i watch boxing for the crazy reason that i like boxing.
if i want numbers i'll read the financial times or revisit some statistics textbooks.
bizarre question but unfortunately indicative of the state of professional sport nowadays.
how can people not mentally separate the boxing and the money, or at least get them in the right order?
