the AP reported in 2010 that the WSB offered an allowance of up to 300 grand for the year, and a win bonus of 5000 for up to 12 fights.

i can't believe i wasted 30 seconds on the 15 year old TS
Great. Now answer the original question, would you watch if boxers did not get paid?

        I must say I agree.

In the ppv era these variables are indicative of a fighters stature to a degree, but they shouldn't be the sole variable.

Whats funny is the TS nme used to be coldcashcanelo-he changed it after he lost to floyd. Canelo is the embodiment of the problem you say the TS is exspressing.
The name was made in jest. That was pretty obvious.

Again, it has no bearing on this discussion.

But we don't, and no forum I know does because people don't watch for that reason. You don't give two sxhits how much any fighter makes because it has no impact on you. You watch for the same reason everyone else does, because its exciting.

Some discussions involve finances, others don't. We don't have a section for boxing meme's and gifs does that mean we should delete or sigs or the threads that include them?

NSB has a section for betting and a fantasy betting thread-most fans don't bet on fights. should we delete the section/thread?

If you don't like the financial aspect of the sport or how its too much of an influence on the sport today-fine. Just becuase others do why does it bother you so much?

If you look back in time, fighter salaries and their finances were insignificant to any fan. Somewhere along the line, it somehow became important to know how much they make and what they choose to do with their earnings. Seems weird, but perhaps boxing isn't mainstream anymore because instead of worrying about the in ring action, you're more concerned about the bank accounts.
Most of the boxers are financially broke (e.g. Pacquiao) and soon to be broke when retired (e.g. Mayweather). What is your point?

We like to watch good boxers fighting each. Does that make sense?

If that's what he's trying to say then I must disagree.. How many boxers today are known ppv commodities? Endorsements have always been there. First one that stands out is the one Hopkins had stamped on his back. In terms of merit, there aren't enough fighters who are actual ppv material.

But the thing is, you really dont care about the finances. Only when it suits your agenda.
