id Make heavyweights make the 200lb limit, a lot of the heavyweight fighters are just plain fat, are all bulked up, and thats killing the division.

Dude, seek professional help immediately. You are so obsessed with Wladimir fighting Byrd that I think you may need to be Baker Act'd.

Is this the 5th or 6th poll and thread you have made being critical of Wlad since the fight was announced?

Having a superheavyweight division would cause a lot of the good cruiserweights and lightheavyweights to move up to heavyweights. I say the limit should be about 225. The simple truth is that the current limit was made back when all the heavyweights weighed around 210-215, many under 200. Times have changed.

The last thing we need is another damn division, there is way too many already. Plus like Al Bernstein said, fighters will just end up eating there way to the SuperHW class and be more outta shape and pathetic than they already are.

I say to hell with a superHW division.

Everyone fails to realize that smaller HW's have advantages in speed and stamina that come with having less body mass, particularly muscle mass. Make it work for you, I say.

Creating a super heavy division is, in all honesty, an idiotic idea. First of all, boxing is hurting enough without adding another division and more champions and diluting the heavyweight talent out. Heavys trying to cut weight, add weight, etc. It's just not was the sport needs. If Byrd didn't want to fight guys who weighed over 230 then he picked the WRONG division, 13 years ago. (hehe) No need to freak out now because he'll be giving up weight to Wlad. Just like nobody should freak if Byrd's lighter weight allows him to outlast a Wlad that could possibly gas late in the fight. This entire discussion is silliness. There should probably be less divisions in boxing, honestly, not more.

They should just call the superheavy division something else,

and make the lower weight division still called the heavyweight division... the name of being heavyweight weighs a lot. They wont get the kind of HW money at another division.

Exactly. People hear "the world heavyweight champion" and they think of him as the main guy. They don't know the super bantamweight champion. Heavyweight has meaning to the people.

didnt Byrd want to fight at heavyweght because thats where he thought the money was? He could easyly make cruiserweight, and early in his career he could have made light heavy. When he was an amatuer he fought at middleweight.

                      Superheavy 235 and up.
The Heavyweight division is the division Byrd chooses to fight in. Wlads his mandidtory. Hows that picking on him?
