Sometimes it is a 'choice' though. I know women who were VERY into men, but they couldn't find a guy to date because well... the girl was very fat and not good looking. Dudes wouldn't touch her. Later on in life these girls end up dating women.

For guys though, I don't know if it could be a 'choice.' So I would agree with you there.
