Hahahahah! Awesome ! Did you just pull that out of your butt or did he really say that?

Atlas is the man. He's like Big George and Larry Merchant in that I think he's even awesomer when he's ****ing up.

    WAR ATLAS!!

I hope he never said that. It literally makes no sense.

Although, Atlas knows his stuff when It comes to boxing, he Is almost unbearable to listen to. IMO, Jim Lampley Is the best In the buisness and I actually look forward to hearing him when watching an HBO telecast.
This is lunacy. Larry and Jim? Ridiculous.

You don't have to like his style, but Atlas' knowledge is second to none as far as commentators go. Personally, I love his analogies, and his personality. Give me a 3 man crew of Atlas, Tessitore, and Kellerman any day over

Jim, Roy, Paulie, Amir and the sky/showbox whatever the UK networks are, etc

Of course he didn't say that, that guy is just doing a poor job at trolling.

Yeah, maybe I've got a weird sense of humor, but there is a sublime randomness in your prose, Sir.

Besides, that is totally something that Teddy (or Larry after half a fifth of Chivas) might say.

It's all preference. I'll take Jim, Larry and Roy over anyone else. As a matter of fact, they make HBO boxing. The crew over on Showtime are a disgrace, other then Al Bernstein. If you would have read my post, you would have seen that I clearly gave Atlas props for his boxing knowledge. That doesn't make him a good commentator

I like him overall. He does like to talk about himself a lot during commentary, and his antics he used to do when he was a trainer were a bit ridiculous; but I like him because he knows the sport so well and is never afraid to call out the shady side of boxing. I met him at Friday Night Fights last year and he was cool as hell. He thanked me for coming out and said it was the fans like us that keep the sport going and keep him in a job. He was super appreciative to all the fans. After he went off the air he signed autographs and took pictures with people for probably 20 minutes.

Sometimes he can be a little too much, I think that Bernardo Osuna is a far better commentator, one of the best I've ever heard.

I agree. Atlas is passionate and has a deep understanding of the sport.

Bernardo's insistence on pronouncing every Spanish name with a heavy accent makes me laugh
