He's awful.

The ratings for Friday Night Fights would improve if ESPN replaced Teddy with a more intelligent boxing trainer like Naazim Richardson or John Skully.

You are kidding me right?....the Philly trainer is knowledgeable and should be on ESPN, not the Connecticut one....he should never train again let alone commentate.

God damn ****** computer put my post up before I finished it. Anyway Atlas never fought any long hard fights so he should not trash the courage of pro boxers. He trashes good boxers that are not from the States like Pacquiao and Wlad and his fight predictions are almost always wrong. Now I am done trashing Atlas.

Exactly...the guy never had one pro fight yet he bashes Tyson etc. and some others for being weak...He's the one who's weak...Tyson was undisputed
heavyweight champion of the world...Atlas is a dude who sits on the sidelines......that's weak..I'm glad Kellerman,Bob Papa,and Brian Kenney
moved on to Premium Boxing Stations and he's still on the minor league
ESPN...LOL..he used to make fun of Kellerman when he was on ESPN,now
Kellerman is on HBO...I LOVE IT!!

and i dunno about you guys but i liked george foreman as a commentator. im watching mayweather castilo 1 because its 430am and i cant sleep. you can tell foreman is a nice guy unlike merchant.

Can anyone stand Teddy's fight commentary? I didn't mind it years ago when I first started watching boxing but I just watched the Mendez - Barthelemy fight and his none stop waffling has left me in a serious state of irritation. It almost makes the fight unwatchable. Thank god it only lasted two rounds.

What? How dare you disrespect greatness like Teddy Atlas. The man is a legend. ATG commentator status at that.

Teddy is one of my top 2-3 guys in the sport. I think he is easily the best and most knowledgeable commentator working today. Plus he's quick to put a mf in their place, which is always fun to watch. ESPN made an ATG decision in bringing him in for the job.

I never really tune in to a ESPN fights the ESPN crew kills it for me tbh. They even ruin it for me on the EA sports boxing game.
