Why are people still defending Kovalev's racist comments?

Kov recently stated in an interview that he likes black people less every day. He also refers to them as sunburned people in allboxing.ru interview, too.

He specifically said “I dislike those sunburnts less and less every day after leaving in the Florida. They act like “purebread n***’s.”

This is nothing new. Now that he's won the title though and is getting publicity, he cant control his tongue and they are trying to clean it up. But the dude's a racist.

I search for it even in allboxing but can't find that where is the source to that one

I didn't say I like boxers dancing around in the ring. You're pointing that out to counter what I wrote. Again, celebrating a victory (which could include dancing) is not the same as taunting (not just sticking your head out). Yes boxers do ****** things in and out of the ring. Being unsportsmanlike (ex: taunting) goes beyond boxers doing ****** things IMO.

So anything that 'slips' out his mouth doesn't suprise me. If you listen to the interview posted, you can clearly hear he doesn't say "negro" at all. The capitcal O sound is very dinstinctive. There's no "O" sound at all, it's an ER.

No "grow" sound in the second syllable. No "Nee" sound in the first. He dropped an N bomb.

He's provocative in the ring no doubt, Drago-style seems respectful when interviewed though. He's great to watch, hope they can make that Stevenson fight, a real 50-50 clash for the No.1 spot.

Now that's the fight to make happen in 2014. I agree it's 50/50.

And lets not get into how can you be a racist against your own race. Plenty of room for that. In case you didn't know, african americans were pioneers in the slave trade. They sold off their own in lots.

He said negro, not the "n word". Kovalev was not making racist comments, and there is no reason to think that he is a racist. It's a cultural disconnect, nothing more.
