Why are people still defending Kovalev's racist comments?

MANY MANY languages, don't call blacks 'black', but Negro or Negroid. Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian.

Negro is a scientific term, it's not racist. The other form is racist.

He may not be a racist but he's definitely unprofessional as a boxer. Anyone who stands over his opponent and taunts them after a KO, not knowing if he's seriously hurt is not a nice guy. I could name plenty of boxers if they did the same thing would set off a 100 pages of hate. I know he's the flavor of the month but lets not be hypocritical of his antics in the ring.

Kovalev has never shown any signs of being a racist but he has shown signs of being a great fighter. I think that this is all either a misunderstanding or someone is just trying to kick a little dirt on Kovalev's image.

Celebrating a victory and taunting is two different things. Boxing is a violent sport... Really??? I did not know that. Please tell me what the tension was between him and Sillakh and how was it different than any other tension in a boxing match. Don't need to get uptight because I had an opinion about a fighter.
