He needs to learn that it's not acceptable to use but I doubt he meant anything behind it. Lack of education or understanding more likely. But I doubt it was blatant racism.

Did it ever occur to any of you numbnuts that he hears blacks use it so often, that he thinks it's normal? He currently lives in a part of Florida that has a large black population. He probably hears it day-in, day-out. And yes, black boxers probably use it too in the gym he trains. It's black entertainers that have brought that ****ing word into the mainstream. Mainly rappers, but also comedians & film-makers/actors. Go into a McDonalds at lunchtime on a weekday, you hear --insert any ****ty rapper's name-- latest garbage being played, and it's riddled with that word.

He called Grover Young a "pureblooded nigger", he said about another boxer (I don't remember whom, it was his sparring partner) that he is "got down right from the palm", he is often talking about "tanned" and "dark-skinned" fighters generalizing their behavior and their bad nature.
