Trouble and beat are two very different things, if they fight he very well may give him some trouble, but andre ward is a technical fighter with extensive amatuer background, so groves' style isnt something new for ward, and nothing groves has will surpise ward. Save a flash ko i dont see way groves wins this one
I believe George Groves beats Andre Ward

I think Groves would give it a good shot and represent himself and his future stock really well (like the Froch fight) but he ultimately loses to Ward in my opinion. Ward would figure him out and have an answer to him unlike Froch. That being said, I don't think he is ready for Ward at this point. Yes he just did really well against Froch and got a lot of people on board for him, but Ward is a different class as we all already know.
In a year or so, presuming Groves stays impressive and wins a few good solid fights, I guess people would say he is ready, but Groves would still lose in my opinion, just can't see him beating Ward.
But styles make fights and certain nights make fights, so who knows in this game...Comment

wanna see Groves do something else before saying such a thing
it's possible the success with Froch was just a mirage
if it was his arrival to top tier status, he's gotta prove it
if he faced Ward right now, would expect him to lose a shutout
and even if he got the Froch win, Froch's not Ward by any means
don't know a whole lot about Groves, looking for an encore from him
if he can beat another contender or Froch in a rematch, great
then talk about him fighting Ward makes sense, but not yetComment

Ward by UD (or possible TKO if Groves fails to pace himself).
I'm not quite sure what Groves brings that would particularly trouble Ward when he really struggled with another, inferior, spoiler in DeGale.
As has been pointed out, the KD of Froch whilst impressive does not instantly confer elite status on him. In the end, early stoppage not withstanding, he was going to lose to Froch. He showed a good turn of speed and some power, but it's worth remembering that Froch has never been that hard to hit.
Would his speed be a problem for Ward - well, no IMO - Ward has far better timing and accuracy and would throw Groves off his punches all night long IMO, whilst steadily attacking his body (as Froch did) - by the later rounds I'd expect Groves to be both exhausted and demoralised.Comment

... In the beginning, Ward would out-clinch and out-wrestle poor Groves to death... In the later rounds (after the ref fills the forms for sueing Ward, because of whatever improper ring behavior), Andre would unleash his usual speedy in-and-out slapping techniques -- which nobody can deal with. Ward by shootout UD (in case the ref doesn't stop the fight based on "tradition").Comment
