why wouldn't it happen in Australia? they could make a big event out of it. Germany has heavyweight title fights all the time. how many do they have in Australia? if leapai doesn't beat boytsov this isn't even a discussion. personally why wouldn't he want to fight leapai in austarlia? if the purse bid is huge why would wlad care? nice weather, nice beaches, nice payday, etc... this could turn into a wonderful event leading up to the fight. the fight itself may suck though. I been saying this fight will happen in Australia since they raised leapai's hand...

Seriously? For the Leapai fight? I can understand Povetkin because that event on paper was way more intense than America made it out to be over there. But Leapai? He's a big strong Samoan but he ain't David Tua for crying out loud. Is he big over there or something? Like strangely popular?

Where would they likely hold it? Could they fill a stadium in Oz? How big is this Leapai guy. Tbh, there is no harm in Wlad fighting outside of Germany every once in a while.
He's hardly likely to be robbed, this guy is getting broken down and stopped in round 8/9 like all the rest of these vastly overmatched opponents.

He is a fool. Nobody is impressed when you outbid another promoter by millions of dollars. They just laugh at you for being hustled.

Only one week after Tua lost to Ustinov and announced his retirement, the younger Samoan heavyweight, Leapai scored a shocking upset over Boytsov. This was an anomaly, very few people saw it coming. It's a great story because after a 10 year struggle, Leapai has done the impossible and earned a shot at becoming the first Samoan heavyweight champion of the world, a chance to achieve what Olympian David Tua never did in over 20 years of fighting.
