Why is age always a factor for Floyd's opponents even if they are younger?

Floyd would be older too you know. He'd also be at a disadvantage in size and inexperience at 160. Cotto would be at an all time high of confidence and if the fight happens in the timeline I think it would happen(May 2015), Cotto would be 34 years old and Mayweather would be 38. A small 38 year old who walks around 150-152 vs The Ring MW champ at 160 who he beat in a competitive fight at 154. We do not know how Mayweather would look at 38 years old, and we sure as hell don't know how Floyd would look above 154. Also, stranger things have happened, in 2015, Cotto could be seen as the fighter coming off the better win/wins and being seen as having a better shot at beating a 38 year old Floyd at 160. Another thing, Floyd could have kept winning by then and barely keep his 0 but clearly declining and ready for the taking.

how is a guy who walks around at 146 avoiding a guy who fights at 160. how bout Martinez go up 8lbs fight and beat the number 2 lb4lb and then campaign for a fight with floyd who yall think should go up 13lbs...smh

Floyd said a belt doesn't make him ...but then again he always contradicts himself...

It's crazy, they basically act like Floyd doesn't age! But if a Cotto/Mayweather could happen September 2014. And there is nothing stopping that fight, other than a Pacquaio fight, which we know isn't happening. And the fight would be at a catchweight, like 157 lbs. That suddenly looks and sounds a lot better and realistic.

Always about Mayweather. What about, Quillin and GGG? Cotto should fight one of them afterwards.

Maybe but not for the belt, floyd said he doesnt care about legacy himself.

If Cotto beats Martinez and then lose to Floyd all supposedly for the lineal middleweight title then the whole thing becomes a circus. It becomes a stunt. The lineal middleweight champion should be the best middleweight in the world. To me GGG is by far the best middleweight in the world. Martinez, Cotto and Mayweather will never get in the ring with him. I won't accept any of these pretenders as the true lineal middleweight champ until they beat GGG in the ring and that will never happen in my opinion. Of Course Mayweather can beat Cotto at any weight. He already beat Cotto fairly easily.

Man stfu! If cotto wins the title, it will be legit and it will be because he was the better man. How is it a cheap way for Floyd to win the mw strap? Cotto would be the man to beat and a proven mw. Nsb pvssies are always complaining about something.

GGG hasn't beaten anyone.....he is not the man at mw. The dude has beaten nothing but bums and that makes him the man?
