If you're hot for a fight you go draft a contract, especially if you're the money guy in the equation, by a long shot. Put him on the spot, not say you'd welcome the fight, but I assume he doesn't now so lets do it later, it'll be a bigger affair anyway. Just read it, that's not being hot for a fight.

        • I bet my teeth either Edwin Rodriguez or Carl Froch would have smashed that lowskilled C level brawler Golovkin.

So no need even to talk of Ward fighting that can crusher bum.

Golovkin being overhyped as hell pumped up by HBO this pitiful Gatti's list (yeas ago another yet exposed unskilled brawler Rios been №1 there) biased corrupt ***s hypocrites Lampley, Kellerman, Merchant etc. who don't know **** about boxing.

Why would you draft a contract for someone who openly says they don't want the fight right now? They both have to want it for any kind of contract. That makes absolutely no sense.

            Is this what you're saying?

Golovkin: I would fight ward but not now. Not yet. Now is not the time

Ward: I would welcome the fight but I don't think Golovkin wants it right now. I'm cool with that because it will be bigger down the line.

Okay, I get it now. Ward doesn't want this fight. He's scared. I should have seen that all along.

            • If I was Ward I would have made Golovin look like a fool simply by whooping his best buddy -- namely Kovalev...

              • This is one of those threads where you agree with the boxer but you can't believe all the excuses his fans are making for him. If Golovkin's fans think he's that good what's the problem with him moving up and facing Ward? Especially if they're saying everyone is avoiding him at MW. I doubt any of them had a problem when he said Mayweather was his dream fight. In fact, some of them are the same ones saying Ward need to move up and face stiffer competition.

I don't have a problem with him waiting to fight Ward but he should be matching up with better MW contenders than he's fighting now. Then again if HBO is paying him to fight bums why not take the money and keep fighting bums.

                • I just think its odd how right after GGG said he does not want to fight Ward right here in this article, people claimed Ward was ducking! Say what? Now that's what I call a diversion.

That's funny. What you're sayin is exactly what Ward said folks would say

Because that's how you put pressure on the guy, if you're really itching for the fight. You don't give up on the fight you want so meekly just by guessing the guy's mental state, especially as Ward's interview came 6 weeks earlier.

I don't see how anyone can read that and say, here's a guy itching to fight the other dude. Try substituting 2 random names in there and reread, you'll probably see it.
