Devon Alexander also thought his was fighting Mayweather Jr. It turned out to be Saul Canelo Alvarez. So, I think it can still be Maidana. Maidana is what the boxing fans want. Amir Khan does not stand a chance. He has been beaten every time he steps up in class.

guranteed floyd breaks khans heart and picks maidana at the last minute. floyd has the habit of fighting a guy coming off his biggest wins. khan has been like an annoying gnat in the boxing press, never shutting up about a floyd fight, the guy just rambles on, even if hes knocked out he keeps just looking pitiful and desperate. i hope floyd goes with chino, he deserves the payday. khan can fight thurman on the undercard to prove himself at 147.

Khan knows that he should prove himself against a top flight welter before fighting Floyd but the problem is that odds are he won't fare well and would likely lose so he has to go for this big payday now. That said I would love to see Jessie Vargas get a fight with Khan.

I think we're wrong if we believe Maidana is going to fight Floyd the same way he fought Broner. Robert Garcia will devise a different approach. Coward floyd should fight Martinez but he is afraid. He should have a rematch with canelo at 154, no catch-weight and no hugging. He could fight Danny Garcia, Mathysse or Maidana.
