I liked it for Kovalev and I like it for Stevenson, except in his case the Pascal/Bute winner would've made more sense... so I guess they'd rather use a short turnaround to heal and promote it later.

Forget those rankings, Fonfara is #5 at LHW with the TBR which I consider to be the gold standard of rankings.

I also reckon that, to date, the "Quebec province" represents the right place for money fights at 175 (but also at 168!)...
This means that Stevenson, Pascal and (still) Bute sell there... This means B-Hop, Kovalev, (possibly) Froch would come to fight ("fite") there... This means Andre Ward would never come there...

Yeh i do think Ward is on another level but he definitely needs to travel a few times

Andre Ward can typically draw more people in Oakland than Stevenson drew in the "Quebec province" for his last fight.

But it's not ok for Ward to fight there according to some fans. Only Stevenson is allowed to make title defenses at home free of criticism.

All fiters should travel a few times even as champs i do agree. Ward thing mainly stems from Super Six where he was the only one who didnt travel and made a champ (kessler) come to his hometown rather than the other way around

Pretty much. Like Burns, people were crying about him defending in Scotland all the time, but that Arena is filled out because of him and he gets the money. Why should he go somewhere else unless they offer him significantly more than what he makes at home?
Same as Ward, unless he gets a very lucrative offer to fight elsewhere, he should stay and fill

Fonfara avoids the "untested" and "unproved" "hype-job" Kovalev, but he is going to fight Adonis -- who destroyed "big champs" dawson and Cloud!
