That is usually the case for little guys but I don't think Rigo is a old 33. There are exceptions though, Daniel Zaragoza was in war after war and was cut in almost evey fight, but he's he oldest super bantam weight champ in history at 42 or 44. I would have loved to see that match up Rigo vs Zaragoza.
That's besides the point. This dude is saying it's NOT ok for Rigo to ask for a catchweight but it's ok for Lomachenko to wait a little longer till he has more fights under his belts and Rigo gets older meanwhile. I mean, one has 13 pro fights and the other has 7 already.

He might of gotten paid.. But Lomachenko said you could not fully close your fist with the WSB gloves... huge difference right there.

Hahaha Salido is scared more like!
I wouldn't put it past Lomachenko schooling Salido's sloppy ass for 12round infact he might even stop him, never say never.

I get what your saying but IMO that fight shouldn't even really be discussed yet. A catch weigh is weak, but Loma isn't close to being ready to be in the ring with someone like Rigo. If the were had head gear on a big gloves but this is he pros. I'm not even sure Loma will beat Salido he needs to prove his worth before even being in discussion for a Rigo fight. Maybe in a year or so if they both keep winning he fight could be made but it should either be at 122 or 126. I'm tired of seeing these catch weights.

Salido scared. You wouldn't be able to walk a mile in his shoes. This is the same guy that took every thing Mikey Garcia had and made Mikey quit, when he himself had a broken nose and orbital bone. Salido isn't a technician but he's beaten plenty if guys that were more polished than him. He wins fights on will and toughness. It's laughable that anyone would even suggest he's afraid of any fighter let alone some guy with no experience in the pros.

Im usually all for a fighter working his way up the rankings, but exceptions can be made for exceptional fighters...especially those who can brighten boxing's star with a legitimate win. Personally I think Salido just doesn't want to be the guy remembered as the guy who lost to Loma for the title in his second fight. I can understand that...but sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture and how it would energize the sport.

Zaragoza was a come forward kind of fighter, plays into Rigondeaux strenghts... Wilfredo Gomez was the one or Zarate

                    He's selling the fight.

Anyway, this is brilliant for the fans. A fighter willing to take such a huge test so quickly is very rare.

Hey some guys earn it some guys get it easy Rigondeaux had just as much an impressive career as a amateur but he is not as young or as marketable so he had to sc**** and literally claw to get his chance and even just 12 fights was pretty ridiculous to be getting a shot at a p4p guy (although pretty sure Bob underestimated the **** out of the guy when he agreed to put a Donaire fight in the contract) to be honest but like you said considerations and exceptions can be made because of the dudes amateur background. I just think this is past a consideration this is more serving him the best match making they can get in a silver platter type stuff, but I understand why and cant really **** on the guy for it best of luck to him.
