I don't consider Garcia as great as some say he is,he's slow,takes forever to get warmed up in a fight(like the 4th round on)..he hardly goes to the body and against gamboa you have to,something about him I just don't consider him that great,he's good but not great

Garcia is slow? Yeah ok. Whatever guy. Garcia is not only fast in his counters, his shots carry punch. Maybe you are mistaking Mikey for some other Garcia. Now I dont know if we are on the same page here.

Gamboa is going to get ****d. Smaller, shorter reach, inactive. Not a good combination against someone who has been busy and getting better. Gamboa is also 32. Once you hit 30, you never know when the body is going to give on you.

Gamboa just turned 32, which is getting up there for a little guy. But he hasn't taken any punishment in his career. Yuri's been inactive, but he's never left the gym (to the best of my knowledge). And while Gamboa might be small with short arms, that's never stopped him before. I agree that Mikey will be a serious challenge, but the same can be said about Yuri. Nobody's getting "****d." This is gonna be a good fight.

I am for yuri on this since he's an all out action offensive fighter and is not boring to watch.

I really hope yuri gets inclined with roach to further master his offense.

I don't see many other options for Garcia right now so you would have to like gamboas shot but I just think arum will be too nervous to let Gamboa spoil his plans, he knows that it's a huge risk

Funny how Dan Rafael wrote an article praising arum for choosing Burgos and saying that Gamboa is a non exciting fighter with no fan base that no one wants to watch face Garcia lol

I agree ,and that noise has been well desevered because they are that good. It seems like the promoters don't want to give them a big fight unless they are forced to by the fans or whatever sanctioning body. I'm worried if Cubans keep spoiling it for cash cows that promoters will not sign them in the future. Blackball them completely , because they're brought here to lose and aren't following the business plan
