Oh well mikey will be the next namejob to get exposed by the cuban invasion. Shouldn't be waiting on a Garcia fight tho the inactivity alone is ridiculous.

If the fight gets made Gamboa will be done, he'll end up like Juanma after the Salido fight!

am not sure Arum wanna this one.
            like he doesn't Donaire-Rigondeaux rematch.

i guess Mikey is slightly overrated and Gamboa gonna TKO him.

so Arum doesn't really need the **** like this.

            nowadays boxing=90% business 10% competition.

that's why UFC is so popular now.

that's why we see bull**** like Martinez versus two time losing in a row at 154 Cotto - IN TITLE FIGHT AT 160 (jesus christ) vice Martinez-Golovkin to unified , Pacquiao-Rios, Donaire-Darchinyan 2 instead of Donaire-Rigondeaux 2 etc.

all that **** looks pretty pathetic.

You do know that Gamboa is in Arum's stable anymore; right?

At 130 he packs on about 20 pounds on fight night, that doesn't sound healthy especially at his age. I think he will get the best out of whatevers left of his career at 135.

Gamboa looked lackluster in his last two fights, but you have to understand what was going on. Yuri had been inactive for fifteen months when he moved up to 130. Another six months elapsed when Gamboa showed up to fight at 135. Both these fights were against guys that Yuri wasn't very respectful of. To top it off, Gamboa had his father training him.

With Yuri dropping back down to 130, against an opponent to get worked up for, and with a real trainer in his corner, things might not be so easy for dear old Mikey.
Gamboa is going to get ****d. Smaller, shorter reach, inactive. Not a good combination against someone who has been busy and getting better. Gamboa is also 32. Once you hit 30, you never know when the body is going to give on you.

Gamboa was verry inactive the last years but his huge boxing talent should not be forgotten. If Gamboa is fit and ready i see him beating Garcia. I would love to see the fight, it would be a good one!
