Gamboa certainly would need a tune up before getting in with Mikey.

Gamboa has a habit to get lazy in fights, do that against Mikey, he will Knock you Out. It would be a great fight to make, maybe June/July 2014 in Texas!

I know what u mean about getting lazy but I don't know if I'd call it lazy ,or bored ,or a lack of interest.... Not sure if yuri is just the type to play up to , or down to the compition . He just may need a great oppenet to rise up to. That's actually what I hope this fight will answer for me.

Yes, He defiantly has the skill set to beat top level fighters out there, it just a case of proving that when the big fights come along.

I would put these two on the same bill in April against top 5/6 Ranked opponents, then have them fight each other in the Summer.

This is another fight where the fans want to see it, its just a case of the fighters actually signing that contract to get it on.

no they should go ahead and fight now. The last time they did that whole lets build the fight up mess with Gamboa and another star, the other star (Juanma) got knocked out. That said I do think Gamboa fights up/down to the level of opposition and he will know that this fight will open doors for him that he wants opened and he will be up for the fight and win like he always does. He may even get dropped in the fight but best believe if he gets dropped so will Mikey.

That sounds like a great plan..... Just not to crazy about Texas that u mentioned before. Decsision outta there have me smh somtimes... Other than that PERFECT!!!!

Well HBO isn't gonna put up the $ for them to face stiffs just to potentially build a fight. As for level of opposition Gamboa has faced some decent opposition himself but I think his biggest detriment is his inactivity
