    Mayweather should retire

Mayweather should retire. We all know Floyd does not want to take punishment nor does he like risks. Every opponent he faces from here on out will be sparring exhibitions. Floyd said boxing is a business which is true but this ultimately means he is not fighting any tough fights for the remainder of his career. Floyd is a great fighter there is no denying that but his reluctance to fight top opponents where he may be the underdog is disheartening. Floyd is a making a lot of money but I will not be buying his PPV bout if he fighting guys like Amir Khan and all he cares about is PPV numbers and not entertaining the fans. Honestly, I would much rather see Floyd hang it out so the next crop of stars can take over the sport. When has Floyd ever poll up a poll on his twitter and say hey fans who do you want to see me fight? He would never do because he might have to face a dangerous opponent.

Im a boxing fan that is why but you are correct I wont order his PPV's. If you are fine with your guy pretty much saying he wants to cost for the rest of his career and throw one or two punches through out a fight that is your prerogative.

Dont get it twisted when Mayweather is pressed it is a pleasure to watch him. When Floyd fought Hatton he was forced to let his hands go. Floyd doesnt want to fight anyone where he is going to really have to be challenged. Floyd is great so he makes really good fighters look average but he can challenge himself and fight bigger guys like the throw back fighters of the 80's. Floyd always says he is the greatest why not do what the great fighters in the past did.

I said it when I heard that he was going to fight Guerrero. If he doesn't want to fight "risky" opponents then he might as well retire.

Will, I see his fights if he fights these opponents that this site polls his opponents chances at 15-25%? Sure. Will I pay? NEVER!

If all Floyd does is treat this as a business where he actually is happy to say "I'm happy that Ellerbe/Haymon cherry picks easy fights for me and I make big money" THEN I will treat his fights the same way and NOT PAY!!!

Remember his line "I WANT ALL PPV MONEY"
Remember my line "I'M NOT BUYING FLOYD"

If more people would do the same, he would be forced to either retire, if he is too concerned about losing, or take them riskier fights.

He's good for the sport and is banking tens of millions per fight. People keep asking for risky opponents but truth is there aren't many.

Well how about he fights some of those risky fights? Sergio Martinez, P. Williams and Manny wanted to fight him. They are not all associated to Arum. They were all OK to do a CW. So no excuses.

I agree to a point. If you are out of opponents it is time to go up a weight class or catch weight with a bigger fighter. Like Kirkland or Martinez. Floyd would probably be an underdog in these two fights because he would be the smaller man.

When Floyd lets his hands go its a beautiful thing to witness but he is not really force to fight. If Floyd was forced to fight we would probably see the greatest performance we have ever seen.
