Lara is hard to sell, according to Schaefer.

at least donaire fought rigo eventually. now we know that rigo is much better than donaire. I know lara is better than canelo but the golden boy hype machine tries to convince us otherwise. only way they can keep up the charade is by them not fighting cause if they do fight the truth will come out. the truth is bad for their bottom line.
He did but those were the exact same excuses and we saw why they were avoiding Rigo.

Once DLH crowned Canelo as his replacement the hype became crazy. But those really watching knew what this guy was capable of or NOT capable of. Whichever way you wanna look at it.

I knew it."
Boxing doesnt work in triangle theory. Lara can lose and I still will want to see him face Canelo. I just don't want to see Lara v Canelo more than I want to see, say, Ortiz vs Canelo. It's not fear or whatever you wanna call it. I just have other matches I am more interested in seeing Canelo take on first.

Victor vs Canelo would be a great match but Lara would school Canelo. He would make hard work easy work out of Canelo.

its not triangle theory. its what lara brings to the table. trout just stood there and canelo was able to get off punches but still very little because he was scared of return fire. lara is not going to stand there. hes going to force canelo to come forward which he sucks at. lara is also left hand dominant as opposed to trout who is right hand dominant. canelo can't deal with the straight left. he has this funky berto style shoulder roll thing he does. won't work. I'm sure he will be able to get lara up against the ropes a few times and maybe he can land something big and take him out but angulo wasn't able to do that and lara showed he is tough. basically worst style ever for canelo. doesn't mean canelo sucks or anything he's just not good enough to beat lara. not many are.

I wouldn't say he needs to fight him next, but if he wants to stay at 154 in the next year he probably has to fight him. If he is willing to fight Molina who is more of a spoiler than Lara and might be the tougher fight, who also has no pull or fan interest (in fact he may push fans away) I don't see why he would be against fighting Lara.

Based on what I've seen from Lara it would be a very interesting matchup. Not very much slugging fireworks, alot of moving around the ring from lara and that would suit canelo since he always takes half a round off. Lara can get caught up to, slowed down, and eventually caught with enough patience, as seen in the Angulo bout. Also its up to how much Canelo really learned from his match with floyd, like how to "find" a slick fighter.

well he fought like a complete noob idiot against Floyd. has a huge size advantage and just stands there in the middle of the ring losing. why not go maidana on his ass? is he really scared to get hit a little by pillow punching Floyd? how is he going to beat lara then when lara drops big left hands on him? I'm tired of this clown. how in the world is he ranked above lara right now? makes no sense. laras resume sh-its all over canelos. lara can't get a fight while fans pretend canelo is some great fighter. uhh hello the great fighter is behind canelo! get out of the way!

Well, he probably had flashbacks of the fight when Cotto's bro almost KO'ed him. And well, little Floyd did hurt him and pushed him back a few times. Canelo's chin is very suspect to say the least.

it could be glass. they might stay away from angulo after all and go after Molina who can't punch. they will probably put a ref in there with instructions to penalize holding and that's a wrap for Molina. meanwhile golden boy will try to kill off lara by making him fight the toughest styles out there and hoping to god he loses so canelo doesn't have to fight him.
