I hope the other big name fighters follow in suit and leave Froch to fight no namers until he either retires or gives fans what they are asking for and rematch Groves.
    (1) A payday against Ward would only give Groves a fraction of what he'd make against Froch or Kessler (should he not retire). Ward is just looking for opponents so that he can cash in those fat HBO checks while offering ridiculous splits in the process.

    (2) Ward doesn't care about Froch. Froch would want a return i the UK while Ward wont leave the US, so there's zero chance of that happening anyway.

    • Good match-up but I can't see anything in Groves arsenal that could even bother Ward. Froch, at least, had a granite chin and was able to walk through everything Ward threw at him...along with a very very unorthodox way of fighting (some call it sloppy or unskilled).

Groves and Froch need the rematch, we don't know who would have won that fight...

It is a good fight but not right now. Groves has power, good jab, quick feet and quick hands, all of this can trouble Ward but only when Groves gets some more experience under his belt. He showed his lack of experience in the last couple rounds against Froch, against Ward, who is so difficult to hit clean, Groves could lose his cool even earlier.

I reckon Groves should push as much as he can for the Froch fight, if that doesn't happen, he should think of gettin in the ring with Steig, Abraham or DeGale 2. Kessler and Bika are still around too, so no rush, take your time. Groves has so much potential.

ALL of them are, don't fool yourself.

Because no one wants to step inside the ring with Golovkin. Golovkin would dispose of Froch and Ward in devastating fashion, a true beating. Ward would be more complicated though, he is on a level above those two.
GGG is a great fighter and a possible top 5 p4p'r if he can beta win against some better comp.. but you need to get off his nuts, its not a good look. Ward would dispose of your Idol without a doubt. Your boy GGG has even said he wasn't ready for Ward yet, so please stop it. He hasn't called Ward out so quick making shxt up. Just because he said fight anyone doesn't mean he actually called them out, boxers say that all the time.

            • As much as it would be funny for Groves to get Ward rather than Froch, if Carl was too soon for George this certainly is.

It's a shame because he'd lose and have two losses, it could really hamper him.

Of course if he gets a good offer and says no he might get some stick too.

A good offer? From Goosen and HBO? Unlikely.

Ward vs Groves wouldn't sell out in Andre's hometown, and HBO would be reluctant to have it as a stand-alone PPV event.

Hearn and Froch should call their bluff. Ward-Groves may an OK match-up, but it'd bomb financially.
