Going up in weight: Roy won the HW title from a fighter who weighed in 58lbs above his own ideal fighting weight. Floyd won the JMW title from a fighter who weighed in 14lbs above his ideal fighting weight.

Beating P4P fighters: Roy moved up a division and beat the #1 P4P fighter in the world. Floyd beat the #3 P4P fighter who was moving up 2 weight classes.

Defeating ATGs: Roy beat a consensus top 5 MW Hopkins at MW. Floyd dominated a past prime LW Marquez at WW.

Defeating HOF caliber fighters: Roy dominated a prime James Toney, beat up an old, inactive and bloated Trinidad(Roy was also shot), demolished a past prime but still decent Virgil Hill(the bodyshot was amazing though), and shut out a significantly past prime Mike McCallum. Floyd has a dominant win and a close fight with a prime JLC, a dominant win over Corrales, a KO over Hatton, an easy UD(discounting 2 right hands which had Floyd hurt) over a significantly past prime and inactive Mosley and a close but clear win over an aged and inactive DLH.

Roys top wins are just of a much higher caliber than Floyds.

People talk about Mayweather ducking, Jones was the biggest ducker of all. He managed to duck nearly all the top fighters around his weight and fight bus drivers on HBO.

Floyd's best win is diego corrales. What's his second best win? Hatton at 147? a green Canelo? You can add all of those together and its not better than Roy beating a prime Toney.

Floyd has yet to beat or face a in prime legit hall of fame fighter.

Think about that for a second.

unbiasedly speaking, jones gutted out a win on a peaking antonio tarver, a fighter most claimed he was ducking...floyd, well you know the rest...lol

Roy Jones has a better resume, Floyd definitely has a decent resume though.

People hate on some of Floyd's bouts that he fought but a lot of these opponents had great records and title belts. Obviously there's more to a fighter than his record but it's not like he was fighting perennial losers at the time. They were thought to be tough opponents in very competitive positions in their respective careers. Can't knock him too bad but he definitely could have made some more resume building fights.
