Floyd needs to grow some balls and fight Pacquiao already.

Pacquiao even said, "if it's easy, c'mon fight me." But oh well, enjoy your Khan fight
If the roles were reversed would Pacquiao owe Floyd anything? Nope, not a damn thing. What I don't get is why people on NSB think everyone should bend over backwards to appease Top Rank/Team Pac. JMM could tip his hat and ride off into the sunset right now. What will people remember from the quadrilogy? The first thing they'll remember is Pacquiao face down on the canvas KTFO with JMM's arms raised in triumph (I think we've seen a picture kinda like that somewhere before.) Why should JMM take the lamb's share just to appease Pacquiao's very vocal fanbase?

Team Pacquiao played hardball and lost...badly. I'm baffled by the idea that JMM or Floyd owe Pacquiao anything. Pac was dealt his hand, played it strongly, and lost anyway. Are we just supposed to give him his chips back and declare him the winner because he is a hero in his homeland? Every boxing match has judges, and that makes boxing a political sport. Team Pac wanted to play politics and ended up losing. There really isn't much more to this cautionary tale at all IMO.

See, I don't know precisely what a Pacquiao fan means when they use the word "fair." Mayweather isn't trying to achieve egalitarianism, he's a businessman in a dangerous sport, so his first thought should be about compensation, period. Does fair mean the same thing to everyone as it means to fans? Lets look at Mayweather's offer from a basic level, Manny would have made more money than he's ever made for a fight, but imagine the upside if he won? He'd have Mayweather over a barrel, and that next negotiation would favor Manny substantially.

Imho, it wouldn't matter how many times Manny loses or how horribly his PPV's do, his fans will still think he deserves half or more than he's offered. If he'd broken away from Arum and taken Floyd's deal (not the best offer) he wouldn't be talking to the taxman right now and he definitely wouldn't be in a position to worry about feeding Buboy's fat ass.
You floydiot put so many excuses why Floyd should not fight Pac. Just admit your boy is coward just like his idiot fanboys so terrified of this fight for their boy's life. Health comes first.

What are the unknowing ****** of Arum doing? Jumping up and down on the rubble of Pactardia doing the same things they did before JMM dropped a nuke on the place.

I didn't expect anything but a moronic response from you. You accept the fact that your boy Pac is so weak willed he defers only to his promoter but when someone takes control of their career and succeeds wildly there's an issue. Floyd's doing something right, while your idol will be chatting with Roy Jones and Evander Holyfield about how to maximize his profits long after he should have retired.

Yeah he's a "coward' and a very rich one at that......

If this is such an easy fight, and Pacquiao is still sleeping and not on Floyd's level, then why not make it happen? Easy work easy money easy fight correct? Testing isn't an issue, Manny is doing VADA while Floyd is yet to step outside of NSAC/USADA? Does Floyd even test with USADA?

Floyd does deserve the bigger portion of the purses if the fight does happen. So why not? Floyd fans don't want this fight for some reason.

****, the Mayweathers don't want this fight either. Well it seems Roger does, but Floyd Snr clearly doesn't want it.

Oh well Floyd throw the belt in the trash and fight Khan. When that PPV bombs we can wait for Showtime to hold your hand to the fire and then we will get a Pacquiao fight.

                  1. This is a boxing forum where fans can come and express their views on what's going on in the sport. Because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't automatically mean they're ranting. I, for one, just want to voice my opinion and hear the reasons for others'.
                  2. Fair means fair, whether it's coming from a Floyd fan or a Pacquiao fan. This is where math comes in. See, the fighters should've arrived at a number that accurately reflects their PPV powers. $40 million FLAT would've been a bad deal from Pacquiao's end anyway you slice it. This is purely conjecture but I'll be very very conservative and say the fight would've sold 3 million BUYS. Let's say the price per buy would've been what it was for May/Canelo at $70. 3,000,000 X $70 = $210 million. After Floyd, Arum and GB get their cuts, Pacquiao, who was relatively close to Floyd in popularity doesn't get his fair shake.
                  3. You act like Manny should be grateful for $40 million because that's more than he's ever made. Guess what? That's also more than Floyd's ever made for a fight at that time
                  4. Lastly, no one thinks Pacquiao should get more than Floyd. It wouldn't even be reasonable to make it 50-50. Hence, we arrive at what I've been saying all along:

                  30-40% would've been fair

Oh and yea, winner always gets more leverage in a rematch but this is boxing and anything can happen so neither Pacquiao nor Floyd would be strategic to bank on that

Wow, I never mentioned JMM once but sounds like you're more than happy having Floyd live vicariously through that win.

No one owes Pacquiao anything. No ones bending over backwards (that's what Floyd wanted Manny to do) We're talking about Floyd's offer of 40$mil.

I'm sorry Pacquiao is weak minded? Because he isn't as vocal or loud as Floyd is? Isn't as flashy and fly?

I recall watching a video before the Rios fight, where Manny says to the reporter he would very much like to fight Floyd, but Floyd's going to throw his belt in the trash, belts don't mean anything, Manny needs to KO Bradley, he's on A side meth, I'm a rich coward.

Nobody is knocking Floyd's success, but when you go on camera and say you're a rich coward then we will knock that.
