I'd laugh if Showtime forced him to fight Pac once his Khan PPV does like 450K sales.

But remember Arum's about enriching himself, not Floyd Mayweather or even his own fighter. The biggest winner if a fight like that were to happen would be Manny Pacquiao and precisely because he's in the position he's in now.
Honestly, I'm not a TR or GB's accountant so I can't say I know for a fact which route would make Arum more money for him. Although I really believe the PAC/May fight happening is best for everyone financially involved.

In fact, my opinion is that EVERYONE benefits from this fight happening. Especially the fans.

It sounds like you want the fight which makes me glad because there are Floyd fans who want to drop it and leave it to the "Floyd always wins" hypothetical.

However, do you really believe 40$ million FLAT (no upside) was fair? Not 40%. 40$million. For the pacquiao of Time the offer was made?i personally think 30-40% would've totally been a good deal

The irony in this all is that for years Pacquiao fans fantasized about Floyd having to beg Pac for a big money fight...now pac is $68 million (P3 billion) in the hole and is left begging for a big money fight. What are the unknowing ****** of Arum doing? Jumping up and down on the rubble of Pactardia doing the same things they did before JMM dropped a nuke on the place.

Nearly 600+ posts across two different threads, and with people losing their minds based on a meme that Mayweather didn't even post himself (it was one of his paid lackeys - at worst, he approved it going out)

The same ****tards are happy to drag the site back down to the pitiful nadir of the 2009-2010 years.

              This site is beyond ******ed.

What the hell am I doing here?

Funny thing is, it should be "easy money" right? Why won't Floyd just sweep the leg and win everything a person like him could want (records, history, more money than ever, bragging rights for eternity, shutting all the haters up)? Pacquiao even said, "if it's easy, c'mon fight me." But oh well, enjoy your Khan fight

I do want the fight to happen and always have, but I lost my excitement for it when the business side intruded and brought me crashing back down to reality. See, I accept that fights don't happen for logical business reasons, it doesn't make me feel any better but it is what it is and not all the rants in the world will change this reality.

See, I don't know precisely what a Pacquiao fan means when they use the word "fair." Mayweather isn't trying to achieve egalitarianism, he's a businessman in a dangerous sport, so his first thought should be about compensation, period. Does fair mean the same thing to everyone as it means to fans? Lets look at Mayweather's offer from a basic level, Manny would have made more money than he's ever made for a fight, but imagine the upside if he won? He'd have Mayweather over a barrel, and that next negotiation would favor Manny substantially.

Imho, it wouldn't matter how many times Manny loses or how horribly his PPV's do, his fans will still think he deserves half or more than he's offered. If he'd broken away from Arum and taken Floyd's deal (not the best offer) he wouldn't be talking to the taxman right now and he definitely wouldn't be in a position to worry about feeding Buboy's fat ass.
