Showtime are not ******, they would pick the biggest money fight for Mayweather so that they can get their monies back with interest.Comment

May not be that easy Jesse. Floyd did not want to fight Canelo, but after the dismal numbers Showtime (not Floyd said they were making the Canelo fight). Either Floyd, knowing he can't break any records without another big name as the draw, is trying to get as much help as possible or maybe this time if Floyd underperforms, Shiwtime will force him to fight Manny. And we all know that Floyd is doing everything possible to avoid that fight.Comment

Im so sick Floyd taking about PPV numbers. We dont give a Eff. What is that doing for hard core boxing fans. Fight a live opponent already.“It’s certain moves that Canelo is making, me, I mean, as a businessman, I don’t like,”Floyd Mayweather said to Fight Hype. “What I would do if I was in Alvarez’s shoes.
I would say, the same guy that fought Ishe; I think his name is [Carlos] Molina, the same guy that fought Ishe. Fight that guy on my undercard for my next bout.”
I agree with Mayweather. Canelo shouldn’t try and fight off of Mayweather’s card yet because he hasn’t picked up the fans necessary for him to go off on his own. Canelo did well in fighting Floy Mayweather last September and benefiting from Mayweather’s Midas touch in bringing in fans to purchase the fight on PPV. But Canelo needs more time before he can start headlining his own fight cards. At 23,Floy Mayweather wasn’t a PPV fighter. That didn’t come until much later after he had built up his name following his win over De La Hoya back in 2007.

Beating Rios or not Pacquiao is the fight everyone wants to see and he got a win. I personally don't care for the fight anymore. I was just saying.Originally posted by BushbabyQuote:

Still not seeing why beating Brandon Rios at 147 makes Pacman ready for Floyd.
I do see beating Angulo and Trout making Lara ready however. I guess people like to be had.
PS Sorry for the triple post...

Exactly what I was thinking, he'd be better of trying to make Garcia vs Matthysse II!Comment

I know where you're coming from but do you really think Mayweather would fight Lara?Originally posted by BushbabyQuote:

Here's a better scenario, if Lara beat the guys he already did PLUS Canelo, do you think Mayweather would fight him? I think we both know the answer to that. Remember when Sergio was fresh and everybody wanted the fight at 154? Pretty similar scenario if you ask me.
Mayweather knows he has no obligation to fight at 154 cause he can simply vacate. Something he could not pull at 147 as easily.
