It’s pretty easy to see why given Pacquiao’s incredibly low pay-per-view numbers for his last fight against Brandon Rios last month. After that disaster, Arum needs a proven PPV money fighter, and the only one he’s got that he can count on to boost Pacquiao to 1 million buys and over is Marquez.

With many pacman fighting Marquez, could get expect an additional 600,000 buys at the minimum, and that’s not Pacquiao bringing those fans in. You can bet that those fans wouldn’t be paying for the fight just to see Pacquiao.

They’d be fans of Juan Manuel Marquez paying to see him destroy Pacquiao for a 2nd time time and beat arguably for the 5th straight time after having lost twice by controversial decisions and robbed by a draw in his first fight with manny pacquiao. A lot of the fans would be paying to see Marquez put Pacquiao out of his misery and sending him into a permanent retirement.
Don't be a jackelope. Robbed by a draw the first time? Did you even see the first fight, or hear the judge admit his scoring error?

Kill a career that is going into its 19th year? You do realize that can't happen right?

Exactly. JMM looked like a zombie when he landed the hail mary.

It does nothing for either of them except money. The fight probably wont even sell that much because people realize that Marquez is old now and so far out of his prime its not worth watching. Very pointless fight imo. TR 147 and 140 division is so dead. Even their 154 division is dead. GB really does have the best 140-154 divisions right now. Those are were the best fights are right now.
I guess you don't understand why Robinson and Lamotta fought six times either. For the record, Ray won 5 times.

And avenges his other 2 losses against MP. I think JMM was robbed in the 2nd fight while Manny should have won the first fight.

to me the pac-jmm is currently tied at 2-2. The 5th fight will decide the winner of this series.
Excellent, lets hope it happens, cause JMM was very adamant he was not fighting Pac again. Like you said, easy money for him.

I scored it the same way as you, but no robbery either way. 50/50 fights, as the ringside scores show:

                http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Ju..._(2nd_meeting)

"Among those unofficial scorers above, 32 scored the bout for Marquez, 32 scored it for Pacquiao, and the remainder scored it a draw."

Buy hey, if Floyd fans can eat Khan; Pac fans can get behind this, too. Pac vs. a 40 yrs old!

                  You guys deserve each other.

Just shut up and watch Marquez annihilates Pacquiao. Manny is so ****ing ******, and JMM would likely KO him again.
Eh, just barely if at all. Without Manny, he has nothing of note to his career.

It used to be that one championship in one weight class was enough. It used to be that a hard fought trilogy was enough. Now with this fifth fight in the offing it turns this great rivalry into a cheap T.V. series.
