And for all the cry babies I'm not a Rigo fan like that. Real simply recognize real. In those weight classes down there Mares is my guy.
Excluding Floyd/Ward, who else beats Rigo pfp and why please.

I don't think anybody beats him PFP including Ward and Mayweather because he has lightning speed, great reactions, defense and boxing skills and he is a hell of a puncher to the head and the body. A giant Rigo who was the same fighting weight as Mayweather or Ward would beat them in my opinion. The stuff that works for Mayweather and Ward on lesser fighters wouldn't work on Rigo.Comment

I'm a HUGE Andre Ward fan and I have utmost respect for Mayweather skill but I don't see anyone in sport beating Rigo. His hands are too fast and his defense is unbelievable. Does t take unnecessary risks and his opponents don't have much to hit.Comment

... Now I see a Ward's fan who's looking more discouraged when looking at Rigo... So it goes...Comment

Outside of Floyd and Ward? No-one. Even those two would have huge, huge problems with Rigo. He is an amazing talent.Comment

Why must we exclude Floyd and Ward? I don't think Floyd or Ward can beat Rigo at his weight class, not allowing us to mention them means we can't have this ducussion then period.Comment

What? The ring has Rigo at #8. I think he's top 3 and the top 3 are interchangeable. The purpose of this tread is to name (besides real pfp fighters) Floyd/Ward, fighters who could actually beat him. I don't think the 5 fighters named above him has a chance pfp.Comment

As skilled as Ward and Mayweather both are I think Rigondeaux is more skilled. I can't wait to see him in with Kiko so he can really display how much of a boxing wizard he truly is, not saying Kiko is some great fightig machine but he will press the action, unlike ****ing Agbeko throwing 4 punches here and thereComment

Nobody in boxing right now (disregarding weight classes) would outbox Rigo IMO, that includes Ward and Floyd. If they tried engaging in a boxing match they would lose, both would have to try a different gameplan and that probably wouldn't work. Oddly enough, I'd give guys like Pacquiao and Maidana or a really good inside fighter more of a shot of beating him because they throw punches from different angles and wouldn't be discouraged to come forward. Of coarse they'd run the risk of being outclassed (like Donaire) and they'd have to take punishment to create opportunities.Comment
