Wow, the 90's, that's pretty damn old school right there. Btw, RJJr couldn't sell PPV because nobody wanted to pay extra to see him fight part-time cops and other no-hopers.

If I remember correctly Jones did look good but Lacy did nothing in that fight other than taking punishment. The only moment when I thought Roy was back is when he knocked down Calzaghe in the first round.Jones should stop fighting but who are we to tell him what to do.

Roy Jones is pathetic, trying to relive his glory years of toying with overmatched opponents, instead of sticking to the fundamentals and closing some of the gaps.

He actually looked good in the first minute of the first round, as he kept his hands up and threw out a good jab. But then he had to get loose and revert to the old style of clowning with his hands down and throwing punches from weird angles (which is not impressive anymore Roy).

In the type of shape that he is, if he just kept his hands up, used his jab like he did the first minute, he could be competitive at Cruiserweight and grab one of the real sanctioning body titles. But he doesn't have the brain for it.

Roy still seems pretty fast, but he looks out shape. If he focused hard on conditioning could he be competitive at the top level? Or do you think he does what he does now for just some easy money or is he trying to build his way back up to a real fight?

            2) Will Roy ever fight on HBO again?

Yea man a few fights back he was looking decent got a new trainer Tom from PA and he had Roy working a more turtle shell defense for his older age with him staying off the ropes etc. Roy's last two fights seems like he reverted back to his old style like he is young which is ****** since his legs are so slow now.

At this fight tonight, I didn't see coach Merck or Tom. So I wonder who Jones was working with during training because that guy in his corner didn't give him no instructions.

No he won't fight on HBO again unless he is able to go up in ranks and becoming the #1 contender fighting the top guys at CW with a real belt.

I don't think RJJ will do that he already proved himself so he might get a lucky fight with one of the CW champs overseas since the CW are not from America but from Europe. So a fight like that will sell well over there but not here.

                  Roy was doing some showboating.

Roy Jones lives in La-La Land, forget about it. What he really needs is a 'Total Recall' alternate reality program, where he can just beat up overmatches opponents in Russia for the rest of his life and feel like THE MAN. Give him the woman with the three ******* as a bonus.

Is it just me or was it uncomfortably quiet in that arena?
