Lol, roy had been my favorite fighter since the mid 90s and with the skillset that he had, he had the right to call the shots. Oh and you can expect some red k tomorrow for the ktfo comment.

I still remember him looking awesome against Lacy in '09. That was a glimpse of the old Jones.
I agree, i was at that fight

Roy did beat that dude up though. I think this weight is better for him if he chooses to continue. He looked a little better, I could see some improvement. Yeah I think he should hang em up but if he needs the money he should stay at cruiser.

Why would anyone watch roy thinking he would be as good as he used to be? Of course he will never be what he was but he is still entertaining to me. I actually enjoyed the fight and don't blame him for going to Russia. At least they know how to treat a legend.

As long as he doesn't get hurt bad, that's what counts. I wish he would retire. He is my 4th favorite fighter of all time. He was amazing when he was young. Wont see another one like him for a very long time.

Also, seeing Jones work so much on the inside rather than out-quicking his opponent from the outside is just... weird. Besides a few 8-punch combinations up close (which looked cool, I'll admit), it looks like his handspeed has gone way down. It's like I don't want to watch, out of fear that he'll get brutalised again, but at the same time I want to know what happens whenever he steps in the ring.

Definitely agree with this. It looked like they were genuinely happy to have him there. Russian crowds (much like German ones) are so goddamn boring, though.

I finally watched the fight and have to say, Roy had changed his style slightly. He relied on the jab a lot more at the begining of the fight and it seemed to work for him. The later the fight went he lost steam, but that's to be expected when he threw so many punches. I know it's just relative to who was in front of him, but he didn't seem all that bad. I think is he came to fight and took it seriously, he would give Diablo a decent scrap as long as he didn't get caught.
