No they don't he's only a commentator that's not even a million dollar job year for him. Roy is used to a certain lifestyle so that's why he is continue to fight oversees because they want to see him and they will pay him what he wants. Something he should of done when he was in his prime and on top but I understand why he didn't after getting robbed in the Olympics.

If max kellerman is on 500k a year, what does Roy jones get? Even if he gets the same, he can't support himself and his family off 500k a year?

In the Jones heyday fighting on HBO he used to get 4-5 million a fight. His highest payday was the John Ruiz fight that he got 10 million up front and 20 million after the ppv buys. So to answer your question as a commentator RJJ is not seeing those type of numbers. Most commentators will have multiple jobs outside of the ring as well such as radio, newspaper, other media outlets. So HBO is not going to pay RJJ the type of money being a commentator. Which is why RJJ is so willing now to fight overseas now because they are willing to compensate him to bring him to their country something America TV networks is not willing to do right now.

I am not sure what the exactly what he made for this fight but I am sure he got a couple of million for it. I know he got like 10 million when he went to Australia for the Danny Green fight. He's been to Russia many times doing concerts and boxing matches so he has following over there. Which is why Roy was saying he may relocate there. He wouldn't keep on coming back if it wasn't that good.

I highly doubt the Anderson Silva fight will happen - what will Dana White get out of having the fight especially if its a full boxing match?
