He had to in order to buyout his contract with Arum and made more money afterwards, so it was a good decision to avoid legal action.

Against Brandon Rios and in China. LOL. Not really all the bad if you consider the opponent and the location. That 400k was all Manny in a fight that very few people wanted to see in the first place.

Are you telling me that Manny's supporters wouldn't be more hyped and excited fighting Floyd than Brandon Rios? Ca mon, you know better than that.

GBP is just as much to blame as Arum. They are trying to muscle a king in the business who has been around longer than they have.
Like I said, lol @ dimwits letting Arum slide on this. You guys are no worse than the Floyd fans. As Adrien Broner says, "Same ****, different toilet".

looks like you are confused. "In My Life, I'll Never Do Business With Arum!" not sure who burned the bridge and who bring testing in the table in 2009 and dealing with arum ever an issue 4 years ago and up to last week?

"consistent" ..... What? This is but one of many roadblocks. You even saying that. Last week it was Manny's recent record, the week before it was that he needs to avenge his losses and so on...... It's hard to even keep up with the excuses unless you come on this site ..... keep up!

I'm a boxing fan because I like to see the best fighters take on the best fighters. Simple as that. Has been that way for over 30 years. I have never once tuned in to see any fighters paycheck, their house, their promoter, or who shows their fights on tv.

I watch boxing because its quite simply the best sport on earth. Two men, four fists, nobody to blame if you lose, all the glory to gain if you win.

These fighters mean nothing in the grand scheme of my life because I pay for what I want to see. They have their families, I have mine. And no matter how many fights I've paid to watch any fighter, not a single one of them will be at my door helping my family when I need it, nor will they be at my bedside when I die.

Floyd, is for Floyd. So all your gibberish about him leading the charge for going against "acts of discrimination" is absolute nonsense. This is the same guy who said hes about cleaning up the sport, but has guys in his own gym failing drug tests left and right.

              Get off the did****.
Your righteous indignation is misplaced...Are you really that ******? Assuming you are then understand this: At a certain point greedy seedy, self serving promoters materially control your viewing pleasure. Case in point, Arum who, whether you care or not, has made it so many fights will not happen. King would be guilty of the same thing. So it does matter!

Put another way: your presumably a young man who cares about your family and scoffs at misplaced loyalty yes? Well Arum is an old man who could afford to **** off so this fight could happen for Manny and chooses not to. Now, I hear you....sure thing Oscar will not be at your bedside making sure your family eats but...as an outfit that is more fightercentric, he may be able to guarantee you that more fights get made for your viewing pleasure.

So why not just finish his contract and sign elsewhere?

Oh, because he was going to have to take a tough fight.
