Good news for Simpiwe Vetyeka as he had a rematch clause with John that only was worth $20,000 for the fight. Now Vetyeka can go and look for some life changing money elsewhere.

The people treating this man like a God are hilarious. Look I have no problem with the man staying in a region that is more financially beneficial. But when a fighter never tries to:
      1. Unify major world titles.
      or
      2. Move up in weight.
There career doesn't resonate with me much. His career to me looks like the career of a man that is comfortable being just a good titlist. Very few of the names on his resume will be remembered.

He's a good fighter. I don't know why people try to discredit anyone that loses.

He had talent and skill but fought only a couple legit threats and got a gift nod over 1 of them while spending his career hiding in obscurity defending his paper belt against other obscure Asian no names then retires after 1 loss(officially anyway)........seems a bit premature to me but its his career and if he doesn't care then

On the 18/12/2013 Vetyeka was on S.A. tv show saying Bob Arum want the Nonito fight and he is also hoping for it. He really stands a good chance of getting that fight. I think he can pull it if he is focused.

he seems like the perfect opponent for donaire. aggressive guy who comes forward and leaves a lot of openings. then again darch was the perfect opponent and he just stood there for 8 rounds. vetyeka is now a legend. when you beat a legend you become a legend.
