    Former WBA featherweight champion Chris John (48-1-3, 22 KOs), 34-years-old, has announced his retirement in Jakarta, Indonesia. Two weeks ago John was upset in a shocker, when IBO champion Simpiwe Vetyeka stopped him in six rounds. Prior to the loss, John had made 18 successful title defenses and remained an unbeaten champion for nearly ten years.

            good riddance & let the bum stay retired...NEVER had the guts 2 fight the Elite, never had the nerve 2 venture out of Australia/Indonesia area...very selective protective guy...Donaire would've done a # on him...Rigo? no
            contest...many excellent boxers a weight below or above him nevr had a shot at this bum...may we never hear from him again...

                I feel like this guy never got his just due. I have never ever seen this guy fight before. Did he never get signed to a network? Who was his promoter??
