Floyd and PAC pull is almost the same. It's the opponents they fight that sell tickets. If its a Guerrero nope. People buy competitive fights. That said, if Floyd fights khan expect a flop.

    Food for thought.

Taffet hbo, said his research indicated that a pay-per-view emanating from outside the U.S. would only get 30 to 40 percent as much as a show started from within the U.S., despite the fact that the show started at the exact same time as it would have had it been in the U.S.
Pac and Floyd had similar numbers still in Floyd's favor way back when Pac fought Cotto...since then Pac's numbers have dwindled-that's just fact. He got a big amount of ppvs fighting JMM, but a few fights before and his first fight after (which you would have thought would be an intriguing comeback after nearly a year off and should have done big numbers) showed a fair degree of declining interest.

If you wanna go down that route then we can talk about how Mayweather has been involved in 2 of the biggest ppv fights in history.

Floyd could still sell well with a Khan fight. People are paying to see it anyways-not that I agree with it, because on paper it reeks of mismatch... but style-wise it is intriguing.

Pac"mania" has fizzed out considerably in terms of ppvs. Hell, Rios was being built up quite a bit as a new star, but he did less numbers than a no-namer like Clottey-who only true boxing fans knew of.

In most common opponents between Pac and Floyd, Mayweather has outsold him everytime-with the exclusion of the JMM fights-which is mainly because of the large rivalry that existed....even then, it took 3 fights with JMM to sell a larger ppv than it did for one Floyd/JMM fight.

Beating Ortiz and Guerrero-who both did very well against Pac in sparring and were ranked top guys in the welterweight division coming off of confidence boosting performances. Sure, they are not A level fighters, but they were ranked well in the division.

Taking on a quickly rising star in Canelo with explosive power, good skills and undefeated.

Beating JMM after a near 2 year lay-off from boxing and made it look EASY.

It is amazing what you call a cherry pick, because Pac hasn't quite took the "big risks" that you guys make him out to lately-has he???
He actually said his team cherry picks. His telling his fans it's not about the legacy but the easy fights and pay check.

      Ain't that a biiatch.

Dude, tell you what bring out your last card. Blame it on Arum

People are learning that he is a conman. He can't sell this fight. If this goes down it will be lower than Guerrero fight. Especially after what he said in this video.

People saw what he really is a about. He's exposed. People won't buy his cherry picked fights that he is suppose to easily win ain't worthy dime.

As much as it is obvious that you want his ppvs to flop-it is not realistic. It could never do around 350,000 like Pac's last fight. Never.

People will pay to see Amir get whipped. Let's face it, he brings action-like him or not. I am not saying it's a great fight or a deserving fight, but the chance of it failing or doing lower numbers than a Guerrero fight is not likely when you have to consider that Khan has a bigger name.

The same sort of mentality that you adopt towards Floyd, you somehow give praise to Pac for....you need to think more realistic instead of a biased fan.

If Floyd does big numbers, you will have some form of excuse...the end of the day, he doesn't give a **** because he is breaking the bank while your attention is focused on excuses and bitterness.

The sooner you learn that this sport is becoming one more of entertainment than the best fighting the best, then the more realistic you will look at it. That's just the way it is-doesn't make it right, it is just that though. I don't know what else to tell you.

It's so easy to call a man who's cleared out FW to LMW without getting dropped a coward.

Floyd was being called a "coward" for "ducking" Canelo (who is much bigger and stronger than pacquiao) until he schooled his ass. But he's a "coward" for Pacquiao's decision to not take the test??

So getting KTFO by JMM and getting a decision over a blown up Rios makes you P4P #1??

In all fairness, Floyd isn't cherry picking. That bowl on the table only has g****s.

I'm glad he brought up the fact that Sr and Roger have no say in his decisions, people still don't seem to understand that. That said, I saw nothing wrong with what he said. I think the only people exposing themselves are those who think Mayweather's attitude towards the fight is gonna remove the roadblocks, it's really not.

Your losing focus doll. This aren't speculations. It's concrete. He basically says I'm proud to cherry pick. I just want easy money easy fight.

Take out your horse blinders. He is telling it to you point blank but you blind worshippers choose not to see it lol

Floyds plan was to have 5 or 6 fights and then retire and hes yet to fight any p4p fighters yet? He leaves that for Pac, with Pac fighting JMM, Bradley and then JMM within 18months.

Floyd dines on the Ortiz, Guerreros and drained Canelos of this world. Canelo isn't a top 20 p4p fighter yet Floyd had to drain him.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his camp is not interested in booking a showdown with undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley as they set their sights on an 'easy' matchup with Amir Khan next year.

According to Floyd Mayweather Sr, Bradley has little chance of arranging a bout with his son simply because he has a lot of work to do for him to prove he is a worthy opponent inside the ring.

The father and trainer of the current pound-for-pound king believed 'Money' is too fast and quick for Bradley to take on despite Mayweather Jr.'s advanced age of 36 years old.

"Floyd's faster. He's quicker. He's more knowledgeable. Look here, all you got to do is look who is in the corner now. My son knows what his Daddy is talking about. Tell him a little bit and it will bring out a lot," Mayweather said in an interview with hustleboss.com via IBT.

However, the elder Mayweather doesn't rule out the possibility that the two undefeated American fighters will finally slug it out in the future.

"If he does fight him it better be in the future and he better try to make it last because he's still got a gap on my son. That's a good generation gap he's got. He's 30 years old against a man who is six [years older] but the man who's six years older is going to whip his a**," he added.

Mayweather Jr., who's coming off a masterful 12-round unanimous decision victory over Saul Canelo Alvarez to win the WBC and Ring Magazine Light Middleweight crowns Sept. 14, is reportedly eyeing a date with Britain's contender Amir Khan in May of next year.

Khan was previously being pinned to fight Devon Alexander on Dec. 7, but the American instead decided to battle Shawn Porter in November. Khan is coming off back-to-back wins against Carlos Molina and Julio Diaz and a match with Mayweather could give him the fattest paycheck of his career.

"All those tough guys and champions that Floyd fought over the years. I think Floyd deserves an easy a** fight like Amir Khan. I want Floyd to tear his a** out of frame," said Mayweather Sr.
