Comments Thread For: Pulev: Klitschko Maneuvering Away, I Would Beat Chisora

The mandatory challenger for the International Boxing Federation title, Kubrat Pulev (19-0, 10KOs), says the IBF's beltholder Wladimir Klitschko is trying to delay their match. Last Saturday Pulev return to action in Neubrandenburg and stopped dangerous Joey Abell in four rounds. Klitschko will defend his WBO title against mandatory Alex Leapai likely in the spring.

Pulev-Chisora is the fight I would like to see for both if Pulev doesn't fight Wlad yet. Very dangerous fight for Pulev, though. Weren't they supposed to fight already once?

Pulev-Wlad will definitely happen sometime in 2014, IMO

This is good. Wlad needs to "duck" him even more to build publicity and demand for the fight.

Once enough people believe that he is scared to fight him is when you cash in and take him out.

wlad is fighting pulev after leapai (still can't believe that fight). chisora\pulev would be a great fight but i'd want delboy to put on 10 pounds so he can use his weight on pulev. these are 2 solid HWs going for a shot at wlad. wlad pulled out twice against chisora but takes no heat but when haye or anyone else does it he's a pus*y ducker. pulev is a solid man with a good arsenal & his chin is good but chisora won't be hurt by pulev's jab so he will get inside & try make pulev brawl not box. pulev & chisora have mean streak so i would expect a 12 round dirty slugfest...the winner no doubt should be next in line...

A flash knockdown against a hard-punching southpaw with 28 KOs in his 29 wins. It doesn't mean Kubrat's not a good fighter.

it looked more like a slip. I haven't seen anything from pulev to indicate a chin problem at all. he seems pretty sturdy

Every time I watch Pulev fight I am less impressed with him and I believe it will be an easy fight for Wlad.

He took a couple of monster bombs from Ustinov and his eyes kinda rolled but he stayed on his feet. I think he has a pretty good chin, certainly better than those "slick" shoulder roll fighters.

Edit: I just saw a replay of the knockdown. Abell's foot tripped up Pulev. No knockdown.

But what fight in HW division wouldn't be an easy fight for Wlad?

Every non-Klitschko is a lowly regarded underdog in the division today. A few have question marks over their heads, but no exclamation points. We haven't yet seen what a lean, in-shape Solis or Ruiz Jr. would look like, and we've never seen Wilder knockout a Chisora or Arreola.
