Starting off slow isn't gonna win you a fight against Wlad. Wlad will bank all the early to mid rounds and then coast the rest of the fight. You gotta take the fight to Wlad; rough him up, make him uncomfortable, keep him from getting into his rhythm. Easier said then done though

Abell caught him with a solid punch and he went down. So, what I saw was a legit knockdown. As far as Wilder is concerned. His 30 opponents have a combined 301 loses and have been knocked out a combined 174 times. So until he straightens up his punches and starts knocking out anytime close to legit opponents there will be, in my opinion, question marks surrounding his power. In other words he has obvious power but is it elite power. Does that make sense?OK, I'll buy that. The KD didn't hurt, rattle or stagger Pulev in anyway - he just got knocked off balance. I wouldn't read too much into it.
For me, Pulev is average - he doesn't stand out too much from some of the other top contenders. He's a skilled guy, no doubt, but none of his attributes really stand out to an observer. His speed is OK, power OK, boxing skillz good; nothing to get too excited about.
On the other hand, you look at a guy like Deontay Wilder and you cannot fail to marvel at this guy's power. He may not be the most polished fighter in the division but his power is something to get excited aboutLast edited by Ravens Fan; 12-18-2013, 11:56 AM.Comment
