so does the legitimacy of his wins to becom champion count? or is that irrelevent and saying champion in 8 different weight classes is enough?
Pac won 4 lineal titles in 4 different weight divisions. He is the first and only person in boxing history who has 4 lineal titles. Hopefully you know what lineal title means in boxing.

I don't know why you do it-but you always do... You are wrong. If you check on the internet you will find that MannyP turned pro just after his 16th birthday and was 4'10 tall plus being 98 lbs. He is known to have carried weights in his pockets to make the minimum weight at which he was allowed to box.

As a flyweight champ he was still only 19 and could not yet have reached his adult growth which peaked 8.5" taller. Many males only stop growing at around age 25.

Dude debuted at 105 and made it through sheer will and grit. He didn't have the schooling and years of am background like everyone else... another person who just went in there and did it

You morons never cease to amaze me.

What Pacquiao is doing today is rare and special but it wasnt rare at all back in the days.

Alot of clowns dont know their boxing history, before when there was only 8 weight classes their was only freakin 3!!!

                  Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight.

It wasnt uncommon for lightweights to go to heavyweight and beating top ten opponents which is what Pacquiao has done really.

Pacquiao never became lineal at 135, 147, and 154 but still he became lineal at 140 which is amazing for todays standard.

Pacquiao was only lineal at Flyweight, Super Bantamweight, Super Featherweight, and Junior Welterweight. He beat top ten opponents in 8 different divisions also which is amazing. I know he got belts but I dont consider them legit. Its lineal or GTFO for me.

A former flyweight becoming lineal champ at 140??? Thats sick props even if Hatton was arguably the worst 140 lineal champion ever. If being a flyweight and becoming a lineal champion at 140 is so easy why hasnt it been done in today's boxing like it aint nothing???

                  Pacquiao is an ATG beast.

I'm saying. Floyd trains year round. He is longer than Manny. He can naturally fill out more. He doesn't have to eat as much as Manny while training, because he is the naturally bigger guy.

Wait, hold up. That's what I've been saying this whole time. Have you just not been reading what I said.

I clearly said, Manny has to eat 7,000 to maintain his weight during trainins sessions for the weigh ins. Which is why I said him weighing 145 on fight nights doesn't mean a thing.

When you have to weigh in at 147 during the weigh in, he has to eat 7,000 to maintain that weight.

Floyd is the naturally bigger guy. It's painfully obvious.
Being taller doesnt mean Floyd can fill out more. Look at pac's mutant legs lol. Pac's not really tall but he has some thickness to him. Like Canelo..isnt tall but he's solid. Big legs, etc. I'd say floyd and Pac are close in size if you take into account their overall size.

Pac started boxing very early and had early success. Americans dont really go pro like some of the third world guys do (many have olympic aspirations and dont have the REAL need to fight for money). I dont doubt there's been fighters who have fought across a lot of classes, but Pac did it successfully... Its quite an acccomplishment which is watered down by many who feel thats only possible due to all the weight classes now along with not having same day weigh ins, etc etc. Weight classes used to be MYCH more spaced apart.. 7 pound differences were nothing at one point. Its not unheard of... But its impressive

Personally i dont make a huge deal out of the weight classes since a guy dominating one weight class isnt necessarily less of a fighter than a De la hoya or Pac type of guy. Pac's a stud for beating some of the dudes hes beat not for the weight class thing. He hopped up in weight but has never really been particularly undersized (except maybe Marg and Clottey). Pac got it done, plain and simple. Impressive. As is Roy jones, Duran, etc etc
