Pac has accomplished more than I could ever imagine at a time he was beating the top guys in the Featherweight division. He was already great then, hence the dream fight with ODLH was hatched.

    And the rest is history...

I was going to say something but looked at the ****ing ******s in this thread and was like **** it.

If someone was truly trying to compare Pac to Roy like that dude attempted, reed would have jumped in and laughed. However there is no need.

What Pacquiao did that people never expected him to be able to do was make his right hand as good as his left and become the balletically skilled boxer that he is today. What he did in terms of jumping weight classes was more probable historically speaking.

It's that simple. Floyd works harder to maintain at his WW limit, and he stays at the weight. If Manny did that, he'd be fighting at 140.
I'm just going by their fight night weights at 147...Manny is the same or higher these days. Why would he eat enough to go over then dehydrate to 147?

Manny is incredible. Regardless of who your favorite is, we as boxing fans should really appreciate a fighting machine like this. I'm just glad that I've been lucky enough to be along for this amazing ride. Say what you want, but he will be missed. Not only has he accomplished incredible feats, but he's given us great fight after great fight after great fight. We will be watching replays of his bouts for years.

Floyd weighing in at 147 on fight night isn't the same as Manny weighing in at 147 on fight night.

Floyd's fight night weight of 147 is his training all year round, eating the right foods weight. Don't believe that Mcdonalds and junk food crap he shows you on 24/7 to fool you into thinking that's all he eats. He does that **** for show.

Manny weighing in at 147 on fight night is all his food he's been stuffing himself with for the whole training camp, and not even having to cut weight. I'm sure after the fight, he doesn't eat all that food to maintain that weight, and just relaxes.

Difference is, Floyd doesn't relax. He's always active and training. So that same night weight fools you into thinking he's smaller than he is.

Also, how many damn times did he skip out on fight night weights? He only weighs in when he comes in light for movement.

Did you see him and Cotto? He looked thicker than Cotto for christs sake. Not saying he weighed more, but the guy was chiseled at that weight.

floyd trains all year round we know this. he does it too stay in shape, hence his longevity. he isnt some massive guy who has to train like a demon for a whole year just to maintain weight! its crazy. he likes to stay in shape, so when it comes to camp half the work is already done, he doesnt have to spend the first few weeks losing his chub. there the same size on fight night.

please you make it sound like pac stuggles to make the weigh inn when he weights over 150lb on the night!

if you want to use calorie intake as the basis of your argument you have to consider and have evidence of their workouts, the enviroment which they train etc. each fighter will have different require calorie intakes, depending on what they need in their diet. Alex ariza is well know for putting all his fighters on a 7k cal plan regardless of size. god i sound like a pac hater lol but im not its just annoying that you are alsmost making out pac is some small guy and floyd is massive!

My man. Floyd is a fitness freak and stays in great shape all year round. That's what make shim special and unique. He doesn't let go of the rope, ever.

That's why their fight night weights don't mean anything. His fight night weight is him being him. Same weights doesn't mean their the same size. It means Floyd stays in damn good shape, all the time. He's used to that. It's not easy for you to understand that a fighter doesn't re hydrate like crazy, because you're used to guys that let themselves go, then work themselves into shape.

Jones was awesome, but come on. He beat Ruiz. Ruiz was not a legit title holder.
