Right now Showtime's roster is more entertaining I think. Maybe not better P4P, but more entertaining. The Maidana/Broner card was PPV worthy.

HBO's production level is on another level.

It's too bad we can't combine the two.

HBO needs to get a new commentating team and I disagree with the Max Kellerman comment, I think he is a pretty good commentator.

Hbo has a better production of fights and I actually like their crew

Showtime has the better fights, Paulie and Al Bernstein are good commentators too.

HBO for me. Michael Buffer, 24/7 and commentators are the best.

              For 2013 I preferred Showtime.

Couple of little things I like about Showtime

-While their All Access show is clearly inferior to 24/7, they actually do a epilogue episode. They also upload the episodes on Youtube.
-The announcers are slightly to moderately less biased than HBO
-They showcased the better action packed fights this year IMO
-This is more of a Golden Boy thing, but they have way better undercards. (I'm sure Showtime is partly responsible for this)
-The production value of the broadcasts seemed more solid on Showtime

I think HBO is giving up better matchups overall, for example Jennings-Szpilka and Bute-Pascal in January.

I like Jim Lampley and Roy Jones, but Max Kellerman is awful.

All of the Showtime crew are tolerable. Ranello is okay. Malignaggi and Kenny offer good commentary and insight. Bernstein is competent but sometimes rather biased.

Both networks seem to be trying harder to put on good matchups than they were a few years ago, especially HBO.
