    HBO Boxing vs SHO Boxing

    Which network do you prefer?

presonally for me its SHO. i like how theres another 15-20 minutes of extra discussions after the fight. it makes the show complete. unlike HBO, after the fight they quickly jump on the closing statements.

Bout the same. Hbo needs to get rid of max. Sho needs to get rid of the mma guy

I like Showtime much more lately. All they need is Roy Jones and some HBO fighters (Sergio Martinez, Pacquiao, Bradley) and we have a master network.

I tend to go with HBO for no other reason than they have the better fights at the higher weight classes (160+) - that's just personal preference tho. Couldn't care less 'bout the commentary and extras - I just watch it for the fights themselves.

Depends on the card for the night. In 2013 both have had their nights, IMHO.

HBO fights are easier to see in Canada as one premium cable company carries both Sho and HBO content and only HBO fights make it on the air. I'm sure the Sho fights re-broadcast but it's just easier for me to stay off boxing sites for a day and download the Sho fights.

Showtime has too many talking heads with worthless opinions - you know exactly what they're going to say before they say it - nothing insightful. Kellerman and even the inconsistent RJJ bring much more insight into the game, though I agree their broadcasts just seem to abruptly end lately.

I prefer the commentary and overall production values of HBO, however on the other hand I get more angry at the commentary on HBO than showtime. Theres more highs and lows to it I guess. Showtime can seem a bit flat, I like Al and Malignaggi though.

I prefer Showtime simply because the commentators come off as less biased. Lately Jim Lampley has gotten very annoying and more biased as time goes on. Also, the guy strikes me as emotionally unstable with all the crying. I don't miss hearing Larry Merchant either.

HBO needs to get a new commentating team and I disagree with the Max Kellerman comment, I think he is a pretty good commentator.
