vitali vacted his WBC title and most likly he won't fight again.

No doubt he was one of the best ever.

This is exciting for the heavyweight division. Vitali should have did this sooner instead of virtually being forced into it, he's been inactive for 14 months or so now.

            It's about time really.

Time to let the superior brother get all the belts instead of Vitali holding the one hostage.

              A great fighter, no doubt.

Its just a shame an American HW will get to keep the WBC belt hostage now. Wladimir is going to be ducked continuously.

I agree he's held the belt hostage a bit and wasn't even that active before then.

Things have really piped up in Ukraine with Russia forcing the government out of signing up to the EU.

Shame he was injured and quite in-active. But a great HW, and decent respectable guy.

It would be great for the sport if the former HW champ becomes the president.

Like or dislike Vitali noone can deny he is an extraordinary person. He slowed down after Ariola fight, but still I enjoyed all his fights.

Some time will pass until we get another 6'7 as skilled fighter.

Wonderful news for boxing. No more holding the belt hostage like Vitali did back in 2004 and again more recently.
