How would Maidana vs Lucas Matthysse play out @ 140 or 147?

Two murderous aggressive punchers at either weight. Who would Argentina root for?

    How would it go?

Maidana--- He beat lucas' ass in the amateur something like 3 out of 4 times or all 4 times they met...

Maidana has wrecked ortiz, broner, sotokarass, lopez

Lucas has lost everytime he has stepped up vs alexander, judah, danny..

It would be a war, but maidana is better than lucas IMO

Matthysse is hard to put down while maidana wont stay down. Maidana starts fast, matthysse paces himself better. Both have great power, matthysse has better technique.

I think either maidana smothers matthysse and takes enough rounds to UD matthysse or matthysse knocks out maidana mid to late rounds. I would love to see this fight.

Judah and alexander could have gone either way. Maidanas style is better for lucas.

Lucas clearly beat Alexander & Judah and wrecked Soto, Peterson etc

Lucas DESTROYS, totally rips apart Maidana and is better in every single area.

You can even argue Maidana has lost everytime he has stepped up.

Maidana's much bigger on fight night, which could be a big factor.

I'd pick Matthysse, guaranteed amazing fight though.

What a killer, beats Soto ****in' Karass and that ****house Broner and all of a sudden hes apparently some elite fighter.

Lmao you think Lucas wouldn't of obliterated both of those guys? He'd stop Broner! He is a far better finisher than Maidana. Once Lucas has you hurt, you're not getting off the hook.

Yeah but the same could be said for oscar, shane, and forrest,, they fought a long time ago in the amateurs and when they met as pros, they had the same results,,
Its not a given that maidana beats him on that alone, but i remember lucas after the peterson ko, they asked about a potential maidana fight and lucas was not to keen on that

alexander and judah fights could have gone either way, i thought zab did enough to barely win, thought alexander lost but either way peterson and soto are good wins, but maidana beating sotokarass, lopez, broner, ortiz are slightly better wins IMO

I dont think lucas could destroy maidana, he has a legit chance at winning, dont get me wrong, but i dont think he blows him out of the water,,

And maidana has shown he excels in dogfights like vs ortiz, lopez, sotokarass, and lucas has yet to show he can handle the pressure of a dogfight.. He has basically beat good boxers, but none that had the skill set to stand and trade like a maidana has..

I think its a 50/50 fight with a slight edge to maidana, because he is more proven in dogfights
