Surprised no one pointed this out, but TS listed Mitchell as one of the Americans getting run out of boxing. Both of Mitchell's losses were to fellow American fighters.

I don't really see anyone in that list that screams P4P King to me. They might all be decent fighters or they could just easily be the next Andre Berto. Mayweather and Ward are part of the last couple of generations. Ward was your last gold medal winner from 04 I believe, Mayweather was in 96. When the guys from 08 and 2012 start coming through, it could be a new landscape.
Like the great James Degale and Kell Brook The landscape hasn't changed because now there is great American fighters that have zero Olympic experience that are actually accomplishing things in the pro ranks.

since 2002 boxing has grown from 30 million fans to 50 million fans with 15 million avid fans.

The myth that boxing is dead is dead.

I think could be where this thread takes some momentum.

Assuming Manny pacquio doesnt age over night he ends bradely, Mayweather only has 4 fights left and will lose soon, and Hopkins may as well retire.

Bring on 2014 and watch the list increase.
