He's a welterweight . Just not a very good one. What's Maidana then ? Chino was a half inch taller but broner was much more stockier .

How many times did the ref Cole warn Broner for his bows and pushes yet not talk a point away? It was ridiculous.Clearly the ref was slanted to favor Broner. The look on Schafer's face during the bout is priceless. So glum.

Exactly what I was thinking... how many times did Broner push and throw dem bows? More than Khan did against Lamont that's for sure!

Broner will never get where he needs to be in the ring if he doesn't address his lifestyle out of the ring. He needs someone like Ann Wolfe.

I agree he needs a new trainer but I think Roger Mayweather would be perfect for him. He'd get his footwork straightened out & he'd be able to make the transition from his offense to defense much better with R. May. Broner is an offensive fighter like Roger but he needs more refinement. He's young enough to be taught the proper fundamentals. Will he do it is another question.

They argued me down at every turn until I just shut up & said put your money where your mouth is; now the casuals will hide, regroup and return as FMJ fans or another hype job like Broner. Don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter; just not a great one.
me too bro I been tryna tell people some which actually do know boxing that broner wasn't ready! he gets hit too easy, he just nevre had someone in front of him that could hurt him! if he can build up more power at 147 he might be ok but his style footwork and everything needs a lot of work!!

I just watched the fight on You Tube. It was a Box Nation telecast out Britain and one of the announcers claimed the fight was close in the 10th round. I was left shaking my head in bewilderment. I gave Broner the 6th and a close 7th and the 12th. Other then that he got his a$$ handed to him.

I also don't think Marcos should have had a point deducted for a non- headbutt. In my opinion it was more of a push than a headbutt. While Broner was warned at least four times for pushing off with his forearm. He also did it several other times with no warnings. He should have been deducted at least one point.

The announcers also kept stating that the point deduction negated the knock down for Marcos. Hows that? The knockdown was still scored so that means Marcos won the round 9-8, correct?

In the end Broner turned out to be another fighter who is no where near as good as he is loud. And he simply fits the old saying, "His mouth wrote a check his a$$ couldn't cash!" Cong**** to El Chino on a great win!
